Not only did I buy my amazing bike with them (a few years ago, and they helped me set it up with the rack and tunings after that)… I called today with a request for a time sensitive ski tuning for me and my son. They were so helpful and accommodating and they are going to make our ski trip much safer. They are so knowledgeable and friendly. You will not regret being a customer here!

Huge shout-out to Garrick and the Steiner’s team for helping me find a ski boot that 1. FITS and 2. Doesn’t cause extreme pain while wearing it!!! I also really appreciated the time and care he took to assess the situation and offer a viable solution. Was able to ski today twice as long as I usually do before heading into the lodge to rip the equipment off, and my legs feel significantly better / less fatigued.

I’ve been going to Steiner’s for years for my bicycles. Now that I’ve crossed over to the “dark side” (downhill skiing) for winter fun, they have my business (and gratitude) all four seasons.

Went in for a ski tune and was hoping to get my boots tweaked. The staff was able to meet my needs and did so promptly and professionally. The tune on my skis was top notch, as I went out skiing today and my 3 year old skis were like new! The experience at Steiner's Valatie is top notch and I feel fortunate that they're in my neighborhood!!

My partner and I both bought electric bicycles at Steiners. The folks there were knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I always have lots of questions and they never made me feel rushed.

I am the alpine training supervisor at Jiminy Peak. I recommend that our skiers and instructors get their boots fitted at Steiner's Sports in Valatie. In my opinion they are unmatched in the area.

Went in for a part, not completely knowing what we needed and left with the part and info on how to install.
And, they said if it didn't work just bring it back. Lucky to have such a good bike/ski shop in Northern Columbia County.

I like Trek bikes. I have purchased a handful over the years and my 2nd just recently from Steiners. What I love best is their customer service. My bikes are serviced quickly, yet thoroughly and the staff are always greeting you with a smile. Whether I'm making an investment to add to my collection of bicycles or just to browse, I really feel like part of their family anytime I walk through their doors. A++ Steiners Valatie!

There is a reason why this place has such great reviews. I have been here twice, once to be fitted to a used bike and another time to look at and buy a new bike. Both times Garrick was very kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. I love my new bike and I am so glad that I was able to buy it here :)

Very knowledgeable staff. If you need skis, bikes or kayak's I would highly recommend. Not to mention, this is a fairly owned business. I worked at Steiners as a kid and loved it. What a great family so I hope you support this local business.

Went back for ski boots and of course, Steiner's makes an exact fit happen for my daughter. Garrick is always welcoming and finds just the right equipment to bring on the fun on the slopes. It's great to have such a local gem right up the road from my house.

My bike was running very rough and had a number of issues that needed to be addressed. After the tune up and replacement of parts, it's like new again! Great job!

Best boot fitting in the Area (Garrick is an absolute hero). Best ski tuning (now even better with the new machine they just got online). The staff is friendly and professional. They are willing to take the time to match you up with the right products. Be sure to make an appointment for fittings and big purchases!

Just bought a Trek road bike at their Valatie, NY shop. They had a super sale price on this 2019 leftover bike before new models arrive.
Owner Garrick personally worked with me on every phase of purchase; model chosen, set up, measurements, accessories (pedals, new shoes, cleats, cages for water bottles, garmin for mileage, speed etc., safety blinking light,). He assisted me with each accessory and mounted each accessory on the bike for me!
This bike shop is awesome. 35 years in the bike business and it shows. Super knowledgeable about overall industry and trends. And, the mechanic (Jay) is as skilled as they come! Highly recommend them!

My experience at Steiner’s in Valatie was top notch from the moment I stepped through the door. Everyone I spoke with was friendly and knowledgeable. Garrick worked literal wonders on my ski boots and I learned a ton in the process. Let’s just say that boot manufacturers do not design their products for people designed like me. Garrick took exceptional care of me right down to the last detail. I walked out with a custom fit unlike anything I’ve ever felt before, as well as a completely foreign sense of excitement to try on my boots again. No appointment needed for servicing bicycles. Used to have to call ahead, but now one can bring your bike. The mechanic inspects on the spot and advises level of service recommended. Very professional and efficient. We bring our road bikes here.

I just bought my third bike from Steiner's Valatie in eight years, and my family has been taking our bikes (and skis) there for service for 15+. I was between sizes on the size chart, and after determining that the best fit was not in stock in their stores, Garrick went the extra mile to work with Trek to locate a bike for delivery far sooner than I had expected given recent supply chain shortages. I love the bike - the fit and setup are perfect, and it's fun to ride.
