Stunning building, so much history and character.
I would recommend reservations just because of the size and limited tables.
We shared one of the specials of the day, which was a Mediterranean sampler, and we also shared the escargot. The food was average.
It was nice waking around the building afterwards looking at all the pictures from when it was originally a pool.
The courtyard in the middle is beautiful and has some of the biggest koi fish I've ever seen.

Can't beat the atmosphere and the history of eating in the former pool of the Alcazar Hotel. The food was delicious, the service was courteous and attentive. If you're in town and want a unique cafe experience, do not miss this wonderful experience.

This was our favorite dining experience while visiting the Jacksonville area. We like to ask the locals and we were given the number for this gem to call and make a reservation. The food and history was amazing!! Cooked to perfection and the service was outstanding. This was also priced very reasonably for the quality of food served.

One of the stops on the food tour, could not believe this used to be a pool. Food was excellent, I tasted everything but the Escargot..😳😳

St. Augustine have great food in general, but this place was extra special, because it’s located inside the Lighter museum, exactly where the luxury former pool was. You are literally eating inside the pool, while you listening the most beautiful piano music live. French dishes. Scargots was yummy and so the seafood pasta. They close at 3PM and there is a few tables, so they said reservation is recommended. We couldn’t make reservation, because the system wasn’t working, but they accommodate us. Staff was very very nice too. Don’t miss this gem after you enjoy the museum.

Everything about this place is a 5 star! We love the place and will definitely come back when we visit St Augustine. I highly recommend the French onion soup as well as the curried chicken sandwich.

What a magical experience, imagining the largest pool once inhabited the Cafe area
(The deep end!) Put in reservations when you arrive at museum, as somewhat short staffed & there's a wait to get in. Food selection was varied & DELICIOUS! The Greek soup & turkey cranberry sandwich the best! Attentive, excellent, friendly service.

We accidentally found this beautiful and historic gem. We weren't planning on this visit in, but happened upon it and went in to eat and learn. I highly recommend stopping here. We ate the hummus and turkey and cranberry and really enjoyed our whole dining experience. The whole staff was incredible!

Great lunchtime spot.. I am pretty picky when it comes to French onion soup and I’ll tell you this is one of the best French onion soup I have had… go get some and then let me know your thoughts. This restaurant sits in what was once the largest indoor swimming pool. Lots of great, cool history at this place.

Food was delicious! The waiter we had wasn’t up on paying attention to detail. Museum was very nice! Wish they had the bowling ally still visible to see and even use.

A must see (and dine) place while visiting Saint Augustine. The venue is steeped in history. It was a home of Henry Flagler. The restaurant is actually in the old swimming pool. The architecture is amazing.
Make reservations well in advance of your visit and plan to eat slowly and take it all in.

I imagine an event here would be beautiful!

This is the COOLEST place. Built into the floor of a historic 1800s indoor swimming pool, it is really neat. Fancy white table cloths but with affordable prices. You MUST eat lunch here. They had a talented pianist playing. This is our number one lunch spot in St. Augustine.

My Little Princess and I stopped by for a lunch break before visiting the Lightner Museum.

We both had a sandwich combo, roast beef and fruit and roast beef and avgolemono soup. The sandwiches were excellent, and the fruit refreshing. The soup was just like γιαγιά would have made!

Resko knew the menu well and was a most excellent server.

What a neat place! I wanted to get here so badly during our trip so I was so happy to be able to squeeze it in during the last day. At 11am on a Tuesday we had the place to ourselves. The service was wonderful and so was the food. This was the best French onion soup I’ve had in a long long time. Great menu in a great historical location!
