Great FREAKIN BAR PIZZA. The pizza was worth the wait. If you go looking for ANYTHING else you are wasting your time.

Great spot for South Shore bar Style pizza! Glad my wife and I decided to make the pit stop on the way back home from Rockland today. We will definitely be back.

It's been years since I had the pizza.
It was better than I remembered and it was also the first time I ate inside. Great food and service. The take card, which is something we didn't think to check before going.
Greek salad doesn't have lettuce in it. First time I'd had it like that but it was wonderful and I didn't miss the lettuce at all!!

Also for a Sunday afternoon it wasn't packed like some other local places. It was very comfortable and there was a parking lot and plenty of on street parking too.

Best pizza ever. If you like bar style pizza that is. The specials are good. My favorite (buffalo chicken with grilled chicken) isn't what it used to be. But the simple pizzas are to die for. Pepperoni well done is by far the greatest pizza I've had since the grilled buff in 2007. My brother swears by the buff chicken with nuggets, not grilled chicken to this day. Plain cheese is incredible. Less is more it seems. I'd try more styles, but I'm addicted to the Pepperoni. Nice small building. Able to handle large parties. I drive an hour to go there at least once a year with my brother for the best pizza and the nostalgia. If i was closer I'd buy them over papa ginos

Obsessed with the pizza. 🍕 Every time I'm in town we always stop by here and order some pizzas for the house. This time my boyfriend, his father, and I waited at the bar and had a couple of beers and wings. So tasty! 🍗 Peter was absolutely awesome. Very tentative and was on top of things like refilling drinks, grabbing napkins, and all out checking in with us. The place is clean and great size for taking a big family out for dinner. I highly recommend here for not only the delicious food, but the fantastic service as well.

Best bar pizza I've ever had in my life!! The owner is awesome too, definitely will be coming back!! Love the old school Boston vibe of the place too, can't find too many traditional old school places anymore

One of the Best, South Shore Bar Pizza Spots

I haven't been to the Venus in 40 years and the pizza was excellent. The place was the me as I remembered, but the food was super. I highly recommend stopping by for a pie ...!!!

Great South Shore bar pizza you can even get it laced! The Owner John was super friendly and they serve drinks and food until late but don’t try to get a salad, they are not in the lettuce business anymore.

place is a classic, so the ambiance should never be considered here. this is an OG spot so the older it looks the better the rating. pizza is delish...wings are a sleeper here..really really good. juicy, not crispy

Excellent bar pizza and the Greek salad and home made dressing was delicious. Compared to lynwoods I would say they are similar but I would give it to lynwoods on overall quality of ingredients and would say the variety of toppings and selection of specialty pizzas at Venus would definitely make me a repeat offender there for sure. The pics were an hour late after we ate but in the Pic are cheese, all meat, and Venus special.

We love getting our pizza from Venus Cafe in Whitman!!! Our family loves bar pizza and we consider Venus Cafe in Whitman the best of the bunch.

My friends Love this place, we went on Sunday (5/21/23), now I Love this place too. We took advantage of the three for four deal to get three savory pizzas', and one dessert pizza (Apple, Cinnamon). If you like bar pizza, EAT HERE!! The two best pizzas we bought were the Dunn's special (bacon, chicken strips, ranch dressing, no pizza sauce), Excellent. THE BEST one all agreed was the Peter's special (Linguica, hot pepper, hamburg). Service was Awesome! We will definitely be back, make sure to drive to Whitman for Venus Cafe, a must for pizza lovers!

Anyone who doesn’t know this is the best place for authentic bar pizza, is seriously missing out. Best service on top of it!

I grew up in Whitman but I have lived in Quincy for the past 15 years. I feel like Quincy use to have a solid bar pizza spot but nothing to rave about most recently. So I had to take my boyfriend here to try the bar pizza since he is a pizza enthusiast. As usual- Venus still lives up to the expectations of one of the Best Bar pizza spots in the South Shore. We got 4 pizzas. Buy three-and you get one free. That was a good deal! They were all cooked perfect and each had a ton of flavor. All of the toppings were fresh too. The Rodeo pizza was amazing and did actually imitate a rodeo cheeseburger from Bk. The Venus special was cooked perfect and had even amount of toppings. Can't wait to go back here again soon. Venus pizza is a Whitman staple. I hope they can stick around for many years to come!

Venus Pizza is always great! I've never had a bad experience here, in the more than 15 years I've been enjoying their food. The staff is always friendly, the food is always good, the prices are very reasonable - what more can you ask for? If you're in the Whitman area and are looking for some great bar pizza, stop in at Venus Cafe - you'll be glad you did!
