I would just like to share my experience coming into the door there. All three of my children are scheduled to have therapy/counseling. They haven’t been seen yet in this office. It’s not been the best year for me and my kids, and being a single mother is very difficult and stressful at times! I was at the Avon library and I couldn’t print these documents out in time before the fire drill had gone off. I didn’t know what to do!!! I was going to go to court without these documents, ….Then I thought about the office ….the woman w the colored hair, her welcoming and impactful, positive energy! It’s right behind the library and maybe they would be kind enough to help because I couldn’t let this Landlord get away with what he’s been doing. It was extremely fraudulent!! I should know her name but my Memory is just awful. I just turned 38 yesterday and I found that those type of people are far and few, so when you run into them you really need to tell them how great it is that they are caring and helpful, its is almost like a breath of fresh air there are still people who are like that! I had 25 minutes to get to court and I asked her if there was anyway she can print out a ridiculous amount of documents. I felt bad asking but I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t know I was gonna run into as many issues as I did, don’t judge me! I know I should’ve had him printed out sooner, but I believe all things happen for a reason, the woman barely knows me and she didn’t even think twice about it. “I certainly will help you”! as I try to Calm myself now because I am extremely emotional, so let me apply my coping skills and focus on my breathing! She got all of them printed out and even asked me “are you sure these are OK?” Like wow!!! I truly appreciate you and your help yesterday more than you know! I wasn’t late and the case was thrown out! I will be bringing you random coffees ☕so pls like me know what you like. Sometimes it’s something that’s small but it’s So impactful! Thank you for having the best employees and I hope my experience continues to be the same!

I don't typically leave reviews but I feel like the therapists here helped my kids get back on track. Behaviors are way better and they worked with my schedule to get them seen at the same time by different therapists. I highly recommend them and was happy to trust my child with them.

I highly recommend Innovative Counseling. I was paired with a counselor at their Avon Lake location. She helped me as I was going through a stressful time in life this past year. From the initial assessment to our subsequent appointments I did not feel rushed. We talked about what was going on and I was given a couple of exercises to work on between appointments. I am now past that stressful life event, but still find value meeting with my counselor from time to time. I did not realize how helpful it is to have someone I can confide in.

I was fortunate enough to get in to be seen by a therapist during Covid. I was amazed at how quickly they were able to schedule me. I believe I really benefited from the time intention I received at this practice. I would highly recommend them.

I really like this place! Very welcoming atmosphere and easy registration process. My therapist was very professional and and I felt very comfortable during our session. Highly recommend!

So thankful to have found this group. They were able to walk my daughter through the trauma of the last year and have helped her get on her feet and face this new year successfully. I can’t imagine where we would be with our therapist!

Innovative in their approach to holistic care and very accepting of other viewpoints. They make you feel at ease and if for any reason you are uncomfortable they do whatever necessary to find you the fit you need to be comfortable so that you can open up and begin to work on whatever needs addressed! I would recommend this place to anyone seeking these type of services!

The quality of care at this practice is amazing. It's a perfect counseling center especially for children and teens. Top notch!

Communication with appointments and scheduling is terrible.

Probably the worst there is. My teenage daughter started to go here. Within the first month, her therapist canceled/rescheduled her appointments half the time. Most last minute. The the therapist UP AND QUIT with no notice. These are children they are working with. all innovative cares about is money and getting paid. If you care about your child, find a reliable place. This isn't it.

It is 175 for an intake and 150 for an appointment if you don’t have insurance. My provider was late to a virtual appointment and the intake appointment was a dry 20 minute virtual session of “yes or no” questions that kept freezing and cutting in and out. They told me they took my insurance after providing my info, but it turns out they don’t. Stay away from this place unless you’re extremely wealthy and don’t mind wasting money.

Don't waste your time. I made it clear that I needed someone who was really experienced & was very open about what I was there for. They "matched" me with someone "perfect". I specifically said I didn't want to go through an intake appointment to get referred. I was told NUMEROUS times that I was in good hands & this "match" would be able to help. It was an hour of wasted time to simply be referred somewhere else. Places I know of already! They don't have experienced therapists & make appointments to get paid by insurance. It's a scam. Find a REAL therapist with many years of experience. Not some therapist pop up shops that are popping up everywhere anymore. You've been warned.

Sadly, I didn’t have the same experience that the positive reviews posted. I called and explained that I was interested in family counseling. They were more than happy to set up an appointment right away with an open Innovative Counseling (IC) associate. I went to the appt and the IC associate I met with quickly explained to me that she doesn’t do family appts, but she could still see me and she would work it out with another associate in the firm to help with the whole family. I was perplexed with this match but scheduled another visit with the hopes that it would all get sorted out. The day of the next appt, the IC associate cancelled the appt, which was 3 weeks ago, and was supposed to call to reschedule. Unfortunately, I haven’t received a call back and in the meantime received a bill for an hour long intro appt, which my appt only lasted about 40 min total. This whole situation has left me confused and frustrated over the professionalism of this group. I hope this may have just been only my bad experience and that others don’t have the same experience when trying to get help and success with family counseling.
