If you are looking for sushi this is a place to go. The staff was good at helping us select our sushi. It was so good I highly recommend trying the sushi here. The spicy crab was the absolute best! I will be back to try more. Great environment and great food! Thank you for an amazing experience!

I once had a craving for sushi and while most of the sushi in the area was great, it didn't quite hit the spot. My partner suggested we try somewhere new and we ended up at Kume!
I can't say enough at how soft and fresh their fish options were!!
Each of the pieces of sushi I tried was the best I've had in years!
We have been back several times to try their Hibatchi and the chefs are always entertaining and kind! After half a dozen visits back, we still have no complaints!
Hands down the best sushi I have had in the Waterville/Augusta area!

Went out to dinner with a few work friends and all had such a wonderful time. The chef was great. He was engaged and really had fun while making the good on the hibachi grill. Was so fun to watch. He even made sure to cook all the food before adding the shell fish to the grill as one of my friends has a shell fish allergy. The food was great. The drinks were great. Highly recommended.

Payed less here per person than I did at the Great Wall buffet.

Food is fantastic, we did the steak with rice Hibachi. Only $23! Fantastic quality rice, steak, veggies.

Love the atmosphere. Low volume music, but not too quite. Lighting was very nice, nice color changing lights on the walls. Calm environment.

The teppanyaki chef was very good. Gave a good show and cooked the food to our specifications.

The soup and salad that you get before your meal is delicious, a real treat.

Great for the family, and very affordable with high quality food.

Went here by myself for lunch and sat at the sushi counter. I wish I had a bigger appetite because there were several things I saw that caught my eye. The sushi chef was very friendly and the service was quick. I will definitely be stopping by any time I'm in Augusta.

The food is consistently the best ever and they know how to put on a good show! The staff is always super nice too! I also love the music they play, it's like instrumental versions of popular songs!

My husband got 3 different sushi rolls and I got one of the Chef’s specials with eel. All of it was delicious. We also had green tea with our lunch. There was hibachi seating available if desired, and you could also watch your sushi being made if desired. Chopsticks were provided. I’m guessing you could ask for regular silverware if needed? The service was a little different the typical. We had multiple different wait staff, rather than one waiter/waitress. This was fine, but did sometimes lead to duplicate questions that we had already answered regarding food/drink orders.

Really great food and fun. We went for a birthday but I cant wait to come back! We ate at the hibachi and ordered sushi as well. The quality of the food was amazing!!! Try the plum wine - so good. The hibachi chef was so entertaining and nice too! The fried ice cream was amazing. Totally worth it!

What a great spot and it was really great service and food. Everything was fresh and well cooked. We got lucky and were seated close to the large aquarium. I was surprised how elegant the plates were dressed with our food. I ended up doing a steak dish that was so tender and tasty. Parking is good and easy to find.

Had a wonderful lunch with my daughter on her birthday today at Kume. We sat at the sushi bar and watched them prepare our food. Everything was fresh and fantastic! When they found out it was her birthday they brought her some tempura ice cream and sang Happy Birthday! Excellent food and a very pleasant staff! My daughter loved the huge aquarium, 5 stars!

Food here is delicious 😋 and the staff is very friendly. Sat at the sushi bar on our way to Maine Snowmobileing and again on the way home it was a halfway point between our destination. My favorite place is Moritomos in Concord, New Hampshire so this place is very compatible to my favorite sushi place.

Incredible. Had the sea monster roll(lobster) and some eel roll with baby octopus and it was all amazing. Had an amazing server, amazing over all service, Jackie (Jacky?) You are awesome! Have a great rest of your first day! Keep it up!

Can't speak highly of this place enough. It was so good that after having dinner there last night I ordered lunch from there today. Authentic and delicious- the atmosphere is A+ and very well done. I can honestly say I haven't eaten at a place like this before. If they ever wanted to open a night club by the front bar- you would find me dancing there.

I went to Kume with 7 other friends for a dinner birthday celebration at 4:00 PM on a Saturday. We had reservations for hibachi. We were greeted and seated within the first 2–3 minutes and served within the first 5 minutes. Servers were very courteous, and the hibachi chef was extremely entertaining and welcoming. Everyone ordered a dish around $25–35, which was a good price for the amount of food we received (small salad and clear soup, side of fried rice or noodles, shrimp, vegetables) and the hibachi show. Hibachi show also involved a bunch of saki getting sprayed into peoples' mouths who wanted to participate. I'll definitely be visiting again sometime in the future for a great time and delicious food! I would highly recommend the dinosaur egg, as well, which was a pretty big and delicious appetizer!

No one can beat their food taste. They have enormous seating area with a spot on ambiance. We called for california roll, chicken dumplings, thai style fried rice and fried icecream. Their food was outstanding but the customer service was little sad. May be bcz we went at their closing time, firstly they weren’t interested to serve and the lady just stood besides our table. waiting for us to finish food and leave 😂. You can skip the fried icecream it was okayish

We had such a great time here. The chef had our children laughing and in good spirits. The food was delicious 🤤 not too much soy sauce which I appreciate 💯💯 service was prompt, and we will definitely be making the couple hour drive back sooner rather than later. Good job guys 👏

Kume has the BEST sushi north of Portland. Everything is so well balanced and beautifully presented and perfectly seasoned. The staff is always friendly, and will do what is needed to make your dining experience unique and memorable.

Kume is a wonderful restaurant! Sashimi and Sushi, lunch and dinner specials, and full bar. The staff here is top notch. On our most recent visit, our server was Vincent. He was very attentive, and speedy. He was knowledgeable about the menu and very friendly, with a great sense that humor and a big smile that could be seen even under his mask.
Kume is part of our regular rotation when dining out in Augusta.

Wonderful family dining experience. Super clean establishment with friendly and attentive wait staff. If loud noises bother you, maybe bring some ear plugs because this place's volume is set to 10.

Met BFF here for lunch several weeks ago & my 1st time with Japanese food. Both of us have compromised stomachs, so we bought 1 plate of chicken w/veggies & a sushi sashimi lunch. It was well presented & kind on the eyes. I ate most of the chicken plate, but discovered that I like tuna & salmon when they are fresh. Miso soup was lovely. The meal set well with my stomach. It was worth the hour's drive to reach it!
