Downtown Diner

Greeted at the door, super friendly. Food came quickly and was cooked perfectly! Real maple syrup along request and the Cinnamon Roll was soft fluffy, warm and heavenly! Our waitress was a peach!

We enjoyed this quaint little place! The waitress was so kind. The food was delicious! I loved the homemade Texas toast! The waffle plate was very satisfying! The downtown area is nice to walk around too. We recommend!

Been my favorite diner since 2016, 6yrs. Always get 2 eggs + corned beef hash, rye toast with butter, and hash browns. It always tastes the same, and is cooked wonderfully. The eggs are always so fluffy!!

Had a great breakfast. Local atmosphere with friendly waitresses. Jolene and Christy were good conversation and the locals were nice. This street is gorgeous too.

Best French Toast ever. Super light, airy, and fluffy.

One of the best local business breakfasts in town! They stay busy too! One of my favorite spots in Augusta to eat alone and enjoy the flow of life. It is really a peaceful atmosphere. Speaking from someone who always sits by the window to see the river across the street.

Great service, food, and the diner experience. If you're lucky you may find chilly and corn bread on the special of the day.

Always come prepared to tip well because these folks deserve it! The classic breakfast menu is complited with a cozy atmosphere in the dowtown Augusta area. Its own little breakfast cafe style will satisfy anyone with its fair price. Ive always seen a variety of customers present; from local police officers to a busy family of 4 to a loaner mom looking for a coffee and a hot meal. This place holds the local breakfast pride hands down.

Wonderful downtown Augusta breakfast spot! Servers are friendly, food service is speedy and food is excellent! Huge plus they have gluten free toast (and French toast!)

First time in Maine and we went to the Downtown Diner for breakfast. It’s extremely clean and laid back with lots of tables inside and 2 tables for 2 people outside the doorway. The service is great and fast. I had the breakfast burrito with a lot of kielbasa and a heaping side of salsa and sour cream. My husband got the Maine breakfast: 2 pancakes, scrambled eggs, and sausage. Our daughter got one chocolate chip pancake which was a great size for a 4 year old. Overall the dining experience was delicious, welcoming, and all for a great price.

I was passing through Augusta and stopped for breakfast. I had eggs benedict, breakfast potatoes and hot tea. The Hollandaise Sauce on the poached eggs was amazing (flavorful, creamy and fresh); perhaps the best I have encountered. Everything hot and presented by a friendly staff.

Food was great. Nice location across from the river. Will definitely be back again! This place really knows how to make hollandaise sauce which is hard to find!

The best breakfast in town!!! The food is scrumptious, the ladies are friendly and helpful, and the ambiance is cool...historic Augusta posters and seasonal decorations. Make sure you order a side of kielbasa....yumnumnum, our favorite. And the coffee is good too. They sell real maple syrup for pancakes and waffles...that gets am A++ for service from me. You can park in front or, if the parking is full, you can park behind the diner and come down the stairs. This is a can't miss stop if you're in town and a MUST if you're a local.

Great place, my wife an I try to get breakfast here as much as we can! They have a cozy classic dinner atmosphere with friendly staff. My number one recommendation is anything with the texas toast. All I have had there is good but there bread is home made and cut thick! The french toast with strawberries is my all time favorite.

The most recent time I went I had the breakfast bowl with home fries eggs and kilbassa and it was very tasty and a decent portion.

Prices are good as well.

Definitely worth a try to anyone new in the area!
