Took my partner here to surprise him with somewhere new, and it was a pleasant surprise for us both!
The food was fresh and tasty! We tried the four course meal, and I would say itbwas fine dining, without getting too out of touch!
The portions were all well sized, and the flavors were easy to recognize and not overdone. The menu changes regularly, as they prefer to cook local foods as they are in season, so it always feels like a new adventure whenever you go!
It was more of a comfy atmosphere than romantic, but we both went home with full bellies and had a great time!
A little more expensive, but worth every penny! Definitely planning to go again!

Walked in on a Saturday night from the brewery next store and it felt like we stumbled on a hidden gem. Sat at the bar and ordered a la cart from the menu, but everything was absolutely perfect. The cocktails were delicious, ordered two starters, the oysters and the seared mushrooms. The oysters were some of the best I’ve ever had, and I’m not much of an oyster person, but the seared mushrooms were out of this world, I would eat them for every meal if I could. Then we got the streak and fettuccine and they were also out of this world. To top it all off was this acoustic guitar musician adding beautiful music to the entire experience. If I could come back and do the chefs table I would in a heartbeat.

Me and my best friends went there last night in the snow storm for our reservation. We’re not sure but we think they kept the restaurant open for just us. We felt so thankful as we were celebrating their birthdays and one of our friends pregnancies! The food and service was top tier. Everything was delicious. The chef came to thank us at the end of our meal. Our server was very sweet and attentive! We felt like they truly went above and beyond. We will be back!

We have had many tasting menus in our day and this is definitely one of the best. Every single dish was amazing, drinks were unique and the portions were perfect. The waitress/bartender was top notch and the chef even came out to greet us. If you’re looking for a fun and delicious experience this is the place!

Really enjoyed this meal! 4 courses, each thoughtful and delicious, at a good price point in central Maine. So why were we the only table on a Friday night? People, please patronize this restaurant! 3 states for atmosphere because it was 1. Empty 2. Too dark in front, too bright in back 3. Decor needs some work. But all of that is secondary to the food, which was good. I think they’re taking a hit for the lack of polish but don’t let that deter you. A rare bright spot in the overpriced, bland desert that is central Maine dining. I’ll be back, and I hope we’ll have some company next time!

I am not sure why it's taken me so long to write a review, but here it goes.
Hands down our favorite restaurant in the Augusta area.
The food is always amazing, fresh, and different compared to what's offered around the area. We loved their food and service so much, that we chose to have our wedding rehearsal dinner here. Eli (Chef) was very easy to work with, as I'm kind of a picky pants and he changed our menu around a few times. He had the restaurant decorated with flowers and candles. The place looked so inviting, but also casual (as this is our style). He accommodated our love for metal music with a great Playlist as well. The food was on point (as it always is!) And our guests were very impressed with the food. We still get compliments about our dinner and it was back in 2021. I honestly can't say enough great things about The Oak Table. Totally worth going if you haven't tried it and if you have tried it and haven't gone back, what's your deal?!
Amazing food!
Amazing service!
Amazing experience!

Sat at the back bar (Chef's Table). Food is incredibly well prepared, fresh and a little different, the prefect recipe for a great meal. Service is exceptional, feels personal and very attentive. Recommend highly for a great night out.

The chef knows his stuff. The bartender (Mason) was a genius. The overall experience was fantastic! My favorite dish of the night was the Scorched Camembert! Yummmm! The Honey Rose Margarita and the Blueberry Mojito were excellent! The dessert cocktail: Campfire Buzz was the icing on the cake!

We ordered the whole menu. Everything was on point. They even custom accommodated a request for dietary restrictions and made an alternative fish that was so good.

I stopped by Canada for a short trip after reading the rating on google. I'm a Korean live in Boston. I really want to introduce you to my colleagues in Boston. If this restaurant informs Korea, all Koreans will come here. Sure! It's beyond my imagination. This restaurant lacks 5.0 points on google.

It' best food I've ever. indescribably delicious!!! Awesome.

A hidden gem!!! All of the food was phenomenal and the drinks are homemade to order. The bartender makes her own infused liquors(we tried the pine gin and it was great). Pictured is the Bees Knees. I also had a delicious matcha drink. For dinner I chose the four course tasting option. Every dish was delicious. Such unique flavors and items( Like the boar stir fry). Overall a great experience! The service was great too. I last minute requested a reservation and they were able to seat us at the bar. Love the atmosphere here, very casual place, yet spectacular food. You can taste the hard work from both the bartender and the chef in the food& drinks. Definitely will be back if I find myself in the area again.

This is the first meal we have at Maine in my East Coast trip. We didn't expect such a fine dining experience from a small restaurant.
My favorite dishes are the pork belly and the duck breast. The pork belly is very crispy and still juicy inside. It is not greasy at all. The soya sauce is infused with other herbs, honey in a well balanced way. The greens makes the pork belly more fresh.
The duck breast is the best duck breast I have in my life so far. The Chef Whitney said she used expresso power to marinate the duck breast, giving it a roasted flavor. In addition, the duck breast is very soft and juicy. I can cut the breast easily. The leek cream at the bottom elevated the complexity of the dish. The apple aside makes it very fresh.
All the rest of the dishes are very good! Love this place.

We talked to the Chef Whitney. She said she visits the local store every day to pick the best food and adjust the menu accordingly. So the menu is changing a little bit everyday.
The food are from local farms. The food texture is great. The taste is very balanced and matched with the ingredients.

I'm the kind of person who loves tapas and small bites. So for me, The Oak tasting menu is the ideal kind of dinner. Between two of us we tried 7 different dishes, and truly every single one was perfection. So many interesting combinations and such a fantastic variety of textures, ingredients, and flavors. Creative cocktails, beautiful presentation, and friendly service on top of that - it doesn't get any better! The best meal I've had in a long time.

Really enjoyable dining experience. The drinks were very good. Check out the blueberry mojito in particular. The tasting menu was all very good. I especially liked the scallops. If you get a chance the seats on the kitchen side also overlook the river and the chef is very nice.

Six of us had dinner and it was perfect! They even marked the menu for gluten free for one in our party!

Up and coming resturant, Augusta needs more of these. Food was fantastic!

-Edit: We have been on multiple occasions and they never disappoint! I will continue to add more pictures because this place is a MUST try!
