Hickory Lane Campground

Quiet, family owned, campground. My son and I enjoyed our stay here! The owners are very nice and helpful. We will definitely stay here anytime we pass through!

Hickory Lane Campground is a small family-run campground with a petting zoo/farm vibe. There are dogs, cats, goats, chickens, turkeys that all get along with the long-term, migrant workers and short-term guests. Everyone is quiet and respectful. Lisa and her husband were very helpful and accommodating during our unexpected stay resulting from a broken leaf spring. We would not hesitate to stay again when in the area.

Big park even though I didn't see it all. Nice pond for fishing. I think it's a pay lake.
There are Bald Eagles in the area and I was lucky enough to see one.
I was on top of the hill and the strong winds made me nervous a few times. Not sure how the winds were in the lower part of the park.
If I'm ever in the area for work again, I'll definitely stay there.

Was in need of a midway stop on our way back from the Texas Gulf Coast. Lisa was super helpful and chatty with my mom. So hard to find one night stay over rv/camp grounds. So lucky that it popped up on my Google search while sitting in a truck stop 2 hours away, contemplating if we should just rough it again at another Loves travel plaza. Thanks Hickory Lane! BTW loved seeing the goats. I used to have a few myself. 😁

This quaint shady campground is a gem. The fresh air, the big shade trees, the fully stocked small lake is jammed packed with catfish. It's peaceful and the owners Greg and Lisa are the nicest people. I highly recommend this campground

We stayed at the campground in our own camper and enjoyed the whole 3 day weekend. It was labor day and the park was absolutely full with wonderful guest and their family’s. The host and hostess are really the best ever. Greg and I hit it off great and Lisa and Dawn get along great also.
Greg made some homemade salsa and salsa relish from his garden. I loved the relish but it was hot and the salsa was hotter. So I talked my wife into trying the relish and let’s say Greg she will never trust you again. Lol. Anyway guys you are the best and have the best campground

Hickory lane is great. Lisa is very kind and helpful. Lots of kids playing during the day but dead quiet at night 👍.

Watched a 5 lbs catfish get pulled out last night.

A very chill environment.

Also very nice people I was offered to have dinner with 2 different people and Lisa's son was nice enough to spare some tylonal for my headache at almost 10pm.

Came for one night but decided to stay a second.

Nice quiet relaxing campground that offers a variety of things to do. Fishing is the best out here. Love this place! Been going there since I was a little kid with my grandpa!

Greg and Lisa are super helpful & hardworking owners. We were here for one month and loved it. So peaceful & quiet. I read bad reviews but there's nothing wrong with Hickory Lake if you are a veteran camper. Maybe the bad reviews were from people expecting a resort-like place. If you like quiet nature, it's a beautiful spot filled with nice people.

I stayed here for about 2 months Mrs lisa and Mr Greg have a great place and truly care about there people who are staying there. I got my marching orders last minute to leave and had my medicine being shipped to there place. Mrs lisa received them and sent them to me. I travel with my job and you don’t find people like these two anymore. if im back in the area i will most definitely bring staying there. The Park is a little hidden pice of heaven. Greg makes great salsa but if you can’t take the heat be cautious 😂🤣

We love coming here. Lisa and her family are incredible hosts who always make sure you are taken care of. Highly recommend a stay here!

Friendly staff/owners. Nice atmosphere with wooded campground, pond and quiet places to walk. Plenty of parking for our large truck. Bathroom and shower was clean, but typical for campgrounds. I would recommend this campground to others.

So peaceful!! Great campsite with a view of both fishing ponds n listening to rippling water. Pet friendly, too. I will definitely be back!!

Great place to visit/stay, super friendly staff, Greg and Lisa were super helpful and accommodating, nice open areas to walk your pets and enjoy the nature around the pond, if you’re lucky enough to be around when Greg is making his homemade salsa definitely give it a try, definitely will be coming back.

My best friends and I were here August 2017, for the Hot Air Balloon Festival in Lincoln. We were pleased with this site and how friendly and helpful the owners were. If I make back over there, I know where I'm staying 💯

this family owner camping ground is very good. the owner is very friendly. a $20 fee is rasonable for a campground with water and electric. there are fire wood for sell that is very cheep, and two pond for fishing. not a crowd place to camp, with shower and restroom.

Very friendly owners who go above and beyond for you. My husband and I came in at a later hour after dark for a one night stay while traveling through the state and they were still more than welcoming!

Comfortable accomodations friendly staff, had a wonderful time with family. Daisy our granddaughter petted chickens, dogs, and saw a 20 lb. Catfish, slid down slides, had smores around the campfire.

Lisa and Greg are awesome on site owners who accommodated my family while traveling for work and Lance was a huge help getting set up. Greg salsa is 🔥💪👍👍
