The Waters of Minocqua

We have stayed at The Waters of Minocqua many times over the last couple of years. The new rooms are very nice with the hardwood floors, cleaner. Suggestion: Put mats at the entrance of the room or in the room would be nice especially in the winter to put boots/shoes, the floors get full of water from melting snow carried in. There is a few complaints my husband and I both have regarding the restaurant, The Waters Pub Restaurant & Lounge, needs attention. All the chairs at the bar and at all the bar tables are wobbly and dangerous. You sink when you sit on them. The service was terrible, due to lack of collaboration with the associates that were on duty. Our first night at the restaurant there were quite a few tables in the bar area and banquet hall area that were full of dirty dishes and did not get cleaned off for literally hours until customers started coming in, it wasn't busy.
Didn't appreciate the kitchen cook coming out into the bar area with gloves "on" touching everything and then blowing his nose with gloves "on" and then going back in the kitchen, not one night but two nights in a row. I know prices are higher in the restaurant food/beer/liquor because of the "convenience" but these prices are too high, especially if we are guests there. There are some other complaints regarding the restaurant, but it can wait. We will just be dining across the street at the Island City Lanes within walking distance of The Waters. In closing, we still love The Waters.

VERY HAPPY WITH THE UPGRADES on the rooms, we booked the three queen size bed loft. ( A bit much but our girls had fun..;)) Staff was SUPPER friendly and welcoming. The man at the front desk was absolutely friendly:)))) Side note from our girls......Game room needs an upgrade, and our girls have made ceramic pieces for me on mothers day in past visits.....everytime we come for a stay never open.

We come once a year, and love it! Outdoor hot tub is our favorite. Our only wish is there be more options served at breakfast. Bacon, sausage would be nice, plus another waffle maker or 2.

Very friendly staff. Surroundings were excellent. This was our 3rd. Christmas stay. Missed the snow. Our children loved the pool this year, due to lack of snow. Loved this place.

Great location. Beautiful property. I believe your true strength is you staff. From the moment of arrival and greeting by Kathy and the help from the manager (wish I remembered names) we were well taken care of. Also please tell the tall woman, working at the front desk and gift shop OBRIGADO and MOLTI GRAZIE for her help and consideration.

My family & I had a great stay, Alana W. helped us get a wonderful room which worked out even better this time.

The customer service is always so fantastic when we stay at the Waters. The atmosphere is amazing as well. Thank you for always making our stay so comfortable. We will always continue to book with The Waters. 😊

The place was great. We booked here in case it rained and we lucked out since it rained half our visit. The rooms were well laid out with a fridge and a microwave. They were quiet and had a deck with a mini eating area. We really liked how they opened the pools at 8 am! We only wished that they opened the water slides earlier (especially on rainy days). The slides didn't open until 11 am on Wednesday and 10:30 am Thursday and it wasn't clearly posted when they would open. The bar by the pool was a nice touch as well as the arcade.

Very friendly hotel staff. Checkin was a breeze. This place has everything you need for a quality stay. Complimentary breakfast, arcade, pool, gift shop, coffee shop and pub. It is very clean and well kept. The bathroom in the double Queen room is a bit small but the room itself is huge. Enough space to use the pull out sofa and still have space for our child’s pack and play. We had a private balcony and absolutely no issues with our room. I would definitely stay here again. It’s within walking distance of northern waters distillery but a little further from the downtown Minocqua shops and restaurant

My family recently stayed here for a few days. We all really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were very nice and clean. The staff was great as well. The only bummer was the bar is closed on Sun., Mon., and Tuesday. We did eat at the restaurant twice and the food was very good. I would like to add that the bath tubs really need hand rails or at least a rubber bath mat!

We had an absolute blast! It was very clean and the amenities were worth the price. We came to Minocqua to see Wildwood Zoo and we'll come back again. The staff in guest services are excellent; kind and professional and very helpful.

We loved our stay at the waters!! Our family enjoyed swimming in the pools a lot and our children really loved the arcade as well. We loved our room, the private balcony was really nice to have. Staying here was the perfect way to end our vacation!

Third year staying here for our family snowmobile weekend and once again happy with everything. Our room was clean and ready for us when we arrived on Thursday. Had a little mishap at the pub Friday for dinner which management handled quickly. Ate there again on Saturday with no problems at all, pizza was amazing and best sweet potato fries I've had in a long time! All of the staff was polite and helpful. Really enjoyed my daily Starbucks drink! The kids enjoyed the water park and slides after a long day on the snowmobiles. Also, they added biscuits and gravy to the continental breakfast... Yum!

We have family in Hazelhurst. We have been coming up frequently for the past 20 or so years Always a good experience. The woman at the counter on the late afternoon and evening was soooo helpful and was an added bonus to our stay. One thing though, a little update to the rooms would help. Don't seem to have changed over the past number of years . Even with that I always suggest the Waters to friends and family.

Our room was freshly renovated, clean and spacious. Beds were comfortable and the room was quiet at night for sleeping. This was one of the hotels recommended to us by friends. We didn't use many of the hotel amenities as we were up visiting friends in the area who have a cottage on a lake and spent majority of our time with them. I would stay again, although the cost for a friday night was kind of high. I get it though, in season rates will be higher for popular places like Minocqua!

I took the grandchildren for a 2 night stay on their Easter break. I wish there was an egg hunt or something. Rooms were nice. But all 4 kids got a bad rash from the water park. My eyes were burning so bad. I went to the bathroom located outside the park doors in the hallway. My eyes felt better out there. But the second I went back through the pool doors. My eyes were on fire. 6 year old ended up with a fever the next day.a locker room b with showers probably would have been a good idea. Chlorine burn ?,, Front desk person was very pleasant. Thank you Will for making me feel welcome! And very knowledgeable! You should get a raise or bonus!!

Wow this is a beautiful place to stay the rooms are spacious and cozy and the staff is amazing! The power went out for only 25 min and they immediately addressed the situation and got it back on. It’s to bad they have a really lazy horrible work ethic cook in the kitchen named bob he decided that it was okay to shut down the kitchen for the night at 6:45 because the power went out for 25 min super unprofessional and absolutely ridiculous that this tolerated by the owener. There’s over 500 guest most have been traveling or on company trips that specifically stayed in this hotel for the accommodations. The bartenders and sever were amazing and cooked us up a pizza there self. I really hope they find a new cook soon they deserve better super unprofessional wouldn’t want him cooking my food:)

Very nice & woodsy rooms, easiest access to get back on our trip home.

The decor was very pleasant and cozy, the provided breakfast was tasty, the waterpark was fun and clean. Only issue was the arcade seemed a little neglected and the machines were getting kind of run down. Overall would very much recommend.
