I called Van's Electric after the first electrician was a no-show. I was selling my home so this was very stressful. My eletrical needed to be finished on time. Dillon and Rick were absolutely professional and returned my calls promptly. They showed up on time and did a fantastic job. I highly recommend them.

They installed three ceiling fans and replaced some recessed ceiling lights. And came in under bid! We will be calling Van's for future electrical jobs.

I called 4 electricians in the area and Rick returned my call within a few hours. Rick was very helpful on the phone and met me at our property the next day to better assess the job before offering a bid. Two others offered much higher bids without even looking at the project and having only minimal job specifics.

Rick and Dillian came to the rescue after another "electrician" ghosted an easy job and couldn't show up when he promised he would. Rick and Dillian was professional great guys to chat with and really took care of my issues and made sure I was set before leaving. They made great recommendations for other issues/questions I had that I could address myself. Will be reaching out to them again.

When looking up electricians I went with Van's due to their reviews. I was looking to get an estimate on rewiring my home. I did NOT have a good experience. I wish 0/5 was an option! The electrician (Dylan) was not available for over a week to do an estimate AND I was told that I would be charged $80 for his gas, as I was more than 15 miles away from their shop...anyone within the 15 miles would not be charged. When Dylan came out he was trying to sell me products that he already had in stock from another job that he was trying to get rid of them on me...which I kept telling him that I did not want that product in my home. His estimate kept going up and up and up the more he talked. He kept telling me that he was the new owner and had to be the secretary, accountant, etc. as his prices keep going up for him. I felt like he was trying to take advantage of me...a woman. He told me that he would write up an estimate and mail it to me. To date, it has been 3 weeks and I have NOT received an estimate yet. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH VAN'S ELECTRIC!!!!

I'm not sure about the rest of this company but the estimator (DYLAN) was just AWFUL! Apparently if you live within 15 miles of the shop your estimate is free... However we live 22 miles from the shop... So this estimator (DYLAN) stated he would need $80 in advance before providing an estimate, as according to him we were 45 minutes from his shop and he would need fuel money. After seeing his truck I hardly think $80 was required for the extra 7 miles more he had to travel past the 15 free miles!!!
THEN he JUST showed up even though I had requested to reschedule the appointment several days earlier, as we had a medical issue come up. He stated it would only take a few minutes and basically ignored my request to reschedule. I asked for several different options to keep the cost down after his max of 20 minutes that he took looking at things and then ball parking the price at about $10,000. Even though I would be providing most of the material. The more I said I could provide the same parts he could the higher the price went. But he had to suggest he use what already had on hand, NOT what I asked for. NO he wanted to use Blue plastic piping in a large area that would be seen by all after the install. This was material that he had left over from another job that was going to be $23 for each 10 foot section???
Home Depot sells the same thing at $14 for a 25 foot roll.
DYLAN... What a rip off! Then after giving him $80 cash he said he would give me an estimate but only through the mail. After pointing out I just gave him $80 cash for what amounted to 20 minutes of walking around my small home. He points out he had almost been there an hour. YEAH... 20 minutes of walking around raising the cost of the estimate after each conversation and 35 minutes of complaining about his Electrical Business, His cost for tools and not having a Secretary and all his problems. I'm a retired Mechanic from a dealership. Buying tools is just part of the job not something you complain to your customers about especially when you're not using those tools on that job... My father was an Electrical Engineer for Honeywell for 45 years. I learned a lot from him. Myself, I have years of training with repairs Mechanical and Electrical and I have 6 years of College that taught me how things work. This guy (DYLAN) was way over selling this job! That's my experience and my fathers experience talking. But due to arthritis, I am unable to do this kind of work anymore.
Sure we all have problems but I had a fire that was caused by faulty wiring, not to mention NO home owners insurance. I'm currently running 3 extension cords from a detached garage to run half of my home.
DYLAN had NO Companion... NO Concern... and NO Urgency for my situation. This guy was only out for cash he NEVER sent me an estimate and it's been about a month. If you want to use this company don't put your trust in DYLAN!
