Arcata Theatre Lounge

I saw a good show here last night and the place was popping for a rainy Humboldt Sunday night! They were having problems with frozen kegs but the bartender was taking it all in stride. Retro theater vibe with good acoustics at center stage 👌

Been twice for their late September Sci-Fi night (Aliens and Terminator 2 Judgment Day, one year apart) and the movie going experience was unforgettable. Serves great food and the theater has a full service bar. Really great pre-shows with raffles Both showings I've been to sold custom posters for each movie, which I'm proud to say are hanging up on my wall. If you've got a Wednesday to burn in Arcata and love old Sci-fi movies, you NEED to come here! Smug's Pizza is right next door if you need a bite to eat while waiting in line.

Been here twice, and both shows were awesome!! Food and drinks available in a SMALL SETTING!!!! We drive up from Santa Rosa and have had a great time making mini vacations around shows at the Arcata Theater Lounge! Good restaurants and hotels in the town are a plus..

Best movies, and since I started coming here I’m 3” thicker, 2” longer, and last 5 minutes longer. Your mom has never been happier!

So many talented artists share their love of music with us here at the ATL in Humboldt County. It's the vibration of the audience and performers that make these nights beautiful. Went to Sci-fi night and had a blast for the cheap admission. Highly recommend it if you want a fun Wednesday night. Plus the rest of their showings are also pretty good so go as often as you want. There's food and drinks if you want it and they have tables in the lounge.

Great venue/theater! We're really lucky that the new owners really put the effort into getting some amazing acts in here! Keep up the great work!

Fantastic venue! Great staff, reasonable ticket prices, seating available, great location right in the heart of Arcata, easy to find free parking within a few blocks. I will definitely be seeing more shows here!

A huge plus to Arcata. Love the events planned there, the space, the bar (that Bloody Mary at 8:30am on Sunday for the women's world cup was right on! $8.50)... I don't go out much but I patronize this place on a regular basis- for the improv shows, the movies and the live sports events.
Food took forever to come (they got swamped) but the breakfast nachos were surprisingly good.
It is very reasonably priced but I heard it's changing ownership?!

First time after living here 4 years! This place is rad. It was a popular movie so the line was tonthe end of the block. Get a seat then get into the food line. It will take a while.

The sci-fi nights are such a treat. I really loved the showing of Donnie Darko, and I feel lucky that this was my first time experiencing the film! Everything was put together very well. I look forward to seeing more cult classic movies here!

LOVE this place. The selection of movies is fantastic, the preshows and raffles are weird and quirky. Whoever selects the preshows should get a raise, I think half the time I go here it's for the preshow.

They also have great music acts that come through. This is my favorite place to go in Arcata for community events.

GREAT small venue. The bartenders make a famn good drink. Only negative are the chairs, they're too small and slippery. Us ladies with big dumpers have a hard time chillin' at the relaxed shows.

Something I look forward to going to do every week. They always have awesome movies to show and are really creative with how they show them. The staff is friendly, laid back and all around super accommodating... plus they have a bar in the back of the theater with lots of good beer on tap. I seriously love this place.

It is absolutely a fun place and I would recommend it. I had a fun time, the food was amazing. I loved the brownies and the fried mushrooms.

We go here for Sci-fi nights on Wednesdays. They have beer specials, and amazing chicken sandwiches. I thought the price was a little high, but then they brought the sandwiches to the table, and they were huge. Really good. We always have a good time here.
