We have been coming to Joe for as long as I can remember. At least 20 years. If he can repair your tire instead of selling you a new one he certainly will. If you need new tires he has them in stock and he sells for a fair price. It’s so nice to trust someone with our work vehicles because without them we can’t work! Free rotations when you buy here and easy access of Samoa Blvd.

3rd time going back to them over the years. Genuine hard working guys who dont try to steer you the wrong way. They get the job done in the time and price they quoted and its always an excellent service. Recommend them and will always go back for my tire/wheel needs.

Joe, the owner is great! Great prices, fast and courteous!
And he has rotated my wheels and just patched a tire at no charge because I bought the tires from him.
Not to mention the best prices in town on new and used tires!

I needed a wheelbarrow tire remounted. He's got hands like vise-grips - he didn't need any tools. It took him about 1 minute all together, after I'd struggled with it over an hour.

Very kind and respectful. Was looking to sell some used tires but owner wasn't there and the man that helped me was very nice so I just gave them the tires.

I have been coming here for years for all kinds of different tire needs on so many different vehicles, from a 40 series Toyota Landcruiser 4x4 to a Ford SuperDuty truck to my latest, a Tesla Model S sedan. The owner not only has done everything perfectly over the years, but he even suggests creative solutions like flipping the orientation of my rear tires on the Tesla due to excessive wear from their aggressive negative camber for cornering. Such a knowledgeable and competent professional.

Joe is the best around. A true stand-up guy, and an even better business owner. I will always choose him and his business, for as long as I'm in this area. Thanks Joe, for always being so helpful in assisting me with all my vehicle needs!

They are crazy busy but reasonable, Professional and courteous. I got my tires balanced, I'm lucky enough that I could just walk to work and give them the time they needed. I don't recommend rolling up in the afternoon in a hurry. They will likely be booked for the day because we all go there.

The two guys who work here are great. Trusting and straight with good humor. First come first serve so be ready at 8am or expect to wait a bit. Good location to drop the car off and walk around town to eat, run errands or go to a movie.

I have Purchased new and used tires from Joe. He doesn’t say a lot but he always gives great deals. And dealing with Local Business Owners is 9 times out of 10 the best way to shop. He offers warranties on new tires. And his used tires are the right price.So For 2 used tires from Joe at Arcata Used Tires and Wheels I paid $126.75. I was quoted $80 for 1 used tire from Goslings and that didn’t include the install fee. Joe always has my size tires and no one else in Humboldt does. I tried tire shops from Fortuna to Mckinleyville and no joke no one had my size 235/65/17. if you want my opinion I SAY GO TO JOE!!!

I had a small leak in my tire, and they fixed it within 20 minutes for just $20. David was incredibly kind and friendly. A wonderful experience!

Really love this place I get great tires at usually great prices. However its a used tire shop so thats what it is. Recently bought new looking tire from them and it was expensive and it leaks. However been going here for 5 years and usually get cheap tires and usually they work great. The workers there are awesome and helpful. Recommend to everyone. Might want to call first if you are looking to save money, to see what tires they have in your size. Nice looking tires are going to be more expensive obviously.

I have been here two times now, the first my dad had a flat and we had to get it fixed fast and they did it right away! The second time I had gotten rocks inbetween the rim and tire causing it to leak, they were very friendly and reasonable. They were willing to talk to me and tell me what was going on, I was on my way again in no time. Great place, i'll be back soon with a full set of tires to install!

Needed tires badly after running my KO2s a little too long. Came in on a monday, told him what i was looking for and he set me up with coopers (usa made) in my price range, never trying to upsell me only gave his honest experience. Only took about 5 minutes in and out. The specially ordered tires showed up tuesday morning and were on my tacoma near immediately. Even balanced them with the weights on the inside so they dont get ripped up on rocks no questions asked.

Contrast that with last week I went into a big name shop in McKinleyville. Their house brand AT tires (made in Taiwan i think..) were at least 30-40% more expensive and the mounting was more expensive. Easy choice ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

One of the last HONEST tire shops in Humboldt. Always get the job done with a smile. I highly recommend this tire shop, they have new tires as well. This is one of the places you tell your friends about. They will always have my tire and wheel business. You guys are great!

I've been getting tires here for at least 15 years. They are reasonable quick and have accommodated my service times with out an appointment. Wonderful place and i hope they never go out of business.
