This place is the BEST place to get cooking spices. Locally owned and operated. VERY friendly staff. and the spices are very good ( not like the washed out flavors you get from "Big Box stores"). I go here whenever I need new spices. they have great spice combo 's as well. Staff very willing to help you find just the right spice that you need ( and maybe a few more you never thought about). While not the cheapest price, you get what you pay for.

This place is amazing! As you enter, you will immediately be excited by the wonderful aromas of the many fresh spices, sauces, and dips that they have for sale. Everything is freshly prepared and packaged there from BBQ spices to fancy teas. As well as the gourmet condiments, they also have an assortment of cooking utensils and recipe books to tempt your culinary skills. One of the great places to visit in Alden that you don't want to miss! On top of all this, you will also find a wonderful collection of cooking utensils and bar essentials available to complete your creative kitchens.

What a fun place! Spices, oils, kitchen accessories...anything a foodie needs (or doesn't yet know they need)! Great stop when you're near beautiful Torch Lake. And they ship too!

We’ve been trying to visit here but always seem to go when they’re closed! The ladies are helpful and knowledgeable. A wonderful variety of spices and if you’re like me and love kitchen gadgets this is your place to shop!!

Do you have a kitchen? Get in here! Wonderful spices and spice blends. All sorts of kitchen stuff from cast iron skillets to shot glasses. Chef Geno's family runs the most friendly shop you could ever visit!

The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The outside of the shop is like a humorous little fairy garden for adults and kids to love. They have so many fun and unique items that are great ideas for gifts. And the selection of seasonings and spices is endless. The Miracle Seasoning might be my favorite so far, but I've barely scratched the surface of options to love. Even Torch Lake Beer Co uses the Miracle Seasoning from the Mill House and call it out by name on their menu and have a burger named after it. They also use it to season their fries and tater tots. I highly recommend checking them out!

Such a fun little spice shop! They have a great variety of spices as well as housewares and gifts. It's truly a unique place. A "must" attraction to visit when in Alden, Michigan.

Wow. Amazing! The Mrs & I just stopped this morning and are hooked. Can't wait to use all these spices for some Onion Horseradish soup. This is a must stop, Goblin Approved Spice stop with more than what it's expected.

Favorite spice shop in the world. My husband and I stop by whenever we can to restock our spice cabinet with miracle blend. Very helpful staff and incredibly beautiful garden to spend time in.

Tons and tons of spices at very reasonable prices. They even had Gumbo File, I went to multiple stores in Traverse City to find some earlier this year, and Alden would been so much closer. These guys are my new go to.

It's a place to go for most of your baking needs. They also sell spices by the bay too. The business was started by a chef and so that alone should tell you it's good. The same brand of spice they sell is also the same brand used at Shanty Creek resort, so there is another vote of confidence. They also sell witty signs that are sure to get people talking.

We were there this week and will be going back as well as ordering online. The spices are AMAZING and all for a steal. The staff is wonderful and helpful and were great with my kids. My kids favorite part was the garden and all the hidden wonders! You certainly have customers for life!

Such a cute shop! Definitely worth a stop in for their spice blends. The Hickory blend is my favorite, but I've tried many and they've all been great. I've seen Alden Mill House spices sold at different little shops in northern Michigan, but the lowest prices seem to be at this original store in Alden. Great little garden outside. Make sure you pick up a tomato slicing knife too! I use it daily.
