The Physician's Hospital In Anadarko

I have a friend that had a stroke in October. He went from Norman hospital to 4 different places and then they sent him to Anadarko. I have found more about whats go on being in this hospital. They had a family meeting to let us know how he's doing and the staff is amazing. He has been treated so well. Can't say enough about this hospital.

My dad is in a swing bed because the long-term acute care facility didn't even try to start weaning him off a vent until week four. He is there for respiratory complications after covid-19 and pneumonia.

He is doing so much better with his combination of different medication and switching from a vent to oxygen therapy with his trach. It's like he's a different person compared to the long-term acute care he was located in for a month.

They are friendly here, will walk you through his current treatment of care vs. being all hush hush and suspicious when you ask questions, and even though it's a long way from the city, so far it's worth the drive. It's like they know what they're doing and they care, and you're more a member of a team to help your family member get better, as opposed to interfering.

Went to visit my mom after she was transferred from OKC and the nurses let me and my nephew visit without interruption after visiting hours where over because she just arrived and by the time we got there it was almost 9 pm which is when visiting hours are over. The nurses could have said come back tomorrow or cut our visit short, but they didn't and I am very appreciative for that. It's rare that you see people over policies these days but in a situation like this it means a lot more than it would if this would have been a customer/business experience. A very big Thank You! to the staff last night at Physician's Hospital.

My father recently spent a month in this hospital for long term IV therapy. I can't say enough about the quality of care here. As an RN, and a former DON at a small, rural hospital, I know the struggle to deliver quality care. This hospital far exceeded my expectations as well as the experiences we had previously in larger, OKC area hospitals. Well done!

I'm currently a patient here, I've been here since late January and I really have to say that as far as hospitals go, this place is awesome! The food is really good, but the care I have received is excellent! If this were a nursing home, I would be moving in. I have never had a hospital stay so enjoyable. The staff here really care about the health and comfort of the patients. Shout outs going to everyone!! 10 star hospital

I was in the ER last night. Covid.
ER doctor was very nice, nurses were great.... Very caring and compassionate with what I am going through. Much better then GMH in chickasha.

Loved one in this hospital. Best care we received even compared to the larger hospitals we were at in OKC.

Cant say enought about the staff, they were all very attentive and caring. I had an over stay they were there for me.

Had a procedure done there.
From registration to prep. to surgery everyone was kind,showed concern.

I came in to the ER for severe dehydration and nausea due to my pregnancy. I came in crying, vomiting and in pain. The staff was SO kind to me. From check in all the way to treatment and discharge. The doctor informed me how to prevent and recognize when it's time to come in the ER. apparently I should have came in earlier. They made sure I left well informed. They validated my feelings and symptoms and took me very seriously. I left with a smile.

i was in this hospital for 2 months near the end of 2015 the food was excellent the pt staff were great most of the nursing staff was good-but to my dis may some of the staff was very bad and sadistic and iwas treated sub humman/i feel for the amount of money that that they charge Medicare they shod screen there staff better> i hope the new owners do better job

Went to the ER w my son the other night for a rough cough that's lasted 3 days, got a strep test done waited an hr to come back negative. Worst part was the Dr came in and said he sounded fine he didn't a hear anything when clearly he's been coughing. I would not lie, you can literally feel it in his chest. He literally only came in the room for 2 mins tops to say it was negative "could be sinus'" 😠

My dad went there and they did not check him for blood clots and if not for Chickasha Hospital he would be dead . DONT GO TO THIS PLACE!

Horrible Emergency Room Staff, from the front desk to the doctor. Apparently they suggest to not even come to the emergency room there because they aren’t equipped to handle anything. They will talk about you right outside the door, as if you can’t hear them talking. Accuse you of recording them. Then the RN lies when talking to the doctor, as if she even came in the room to do anything. The LPN/MA was the only one to actually help and was nice. The doctors attitude is based off what the RN says. They ask personal and private information out loud in the lobby. They have security there that does nothing but smoke in front of the building doors. Oh and don’t go in there in pain, they only have Tylenol. With being judged by the color of your skin and apparently the community that is there, they think you are just trying to get high. I would not recommend going here unless you need a bandaid for a paper cut. This place needs to be shut down or taken over by better management and better equipped for emergencies, especially if they want to be over priced to be seen by a doctor.

The Nurses are the worst, went In with my brother who had a seizure, while trying to do a COVID test on the kid she wanted to catch an attitude. Like I wasn’t going to say nothing, wrong. My brother thanked me afterwards. Ain’t no one, specially a “RN” should catch an attitude with a 8 year old boy.
