First time here, very clean area, went to dropped off a plastic lounge chair. Didn’t know where to drop off, the two people that work there were nice to help and tell me where to dump. It was quick and easy. Next time I’ll be coming back I’ll tip for sure.

I think the staff are nice, Saturday mid morning and around Christmas are super busy, but otherwise it isn't bad to get in and out. I like how they have so many recycling options there. I only wish they had a place for non standard recycling like alkaline batteries, paint cans, transmission fluid and etc.

Just so everyone knows:
- The site is free FOR RANDOLPH COUNTY CITIZENS but if you bring too much, you'll be sent to the new landfill where you'll be required to pay at least $20. Rule of thumb is that if you think it's too much, it is.
- You're allowed 2 mattresses a day (you can bring a large item or two by themselves, but not with the mattresses)
- NO Trailers with LARGE LOADS. Use the Rule of Thumb.
- Must have a LEVEL FLATBED if you're dumping from a truck with no more than 10 BAGS a day.
- For any other cars, you also cannot have more than 10 BAGS a day.
(Info is from a Waste Management employee.)
- Bags go in one place while big furniture goes in another. There's a sign for bags.
- Tip the employees if they help you out, they're working with your trash after all.

Every Saturday my son and I bring our household trash to the landfill . Now while it may not seem like a big deal to most, but the smiles and warm greetings we get from the staff make for great memories. Thank you all for everything y'all do.

Gotta laugh over these maskateers complaining of workers not wearing a mask. Go be a karen somewhere else. Because dealing with trash that could poke them and cause infections is more concerning than covid.

It's a landfill. If you don't like their choice to NOT wear masks then keep your trash at home.

I called at 4:30pm... it took a few rings for someone to pick up. I didn't think anything of it, because I figured they didn't have anybody specifically for answering the phone. So I asked if they took household trash. The gentleman told me yes but only 10 bags. (I'm figuring per day.. that's how most places are.) OK cool.
So I rushed around grabbing all our trash. Threw it all in my car and went down the road. I Thought I had plenty of time to get there.
Now it says online that they close at 6pm. I was not told that they were closed or that they were about to close.
Hit the directions button that are on Google. It said 28 minutes from where I live.
I pulled up to the entrance to find the gate closed. There was a sign that said they close at 4:30pm. I was devastated that I not only rushed around for nothing, but that I had lugged all that stinky trash in my car for nothing as well. I did not think to take a picture of the sign while I was there.. that's how upset I was.
All that needed to be said was, "hey we are actually closed right now. So you're going to have to wait until the next time we're open." I would have said "OK thank you very much. Your Google says 6pm, so please update it to avoid anybody else going through this later on. Have a great day!"
I don't even know when they are actually open again though. Online it says they're open the same days as the place in the town where I live, and they have the same hours according to the sign on the gate.
But who knows if Google is even right.🤷‍♀
That's why things like that need to be updated.. often. Please.
I'm not mad. I'm not bashing anybody or the business. I'm just upset that I wasted the gas. I know I'm not the only person affected by the rising costs of living. So a heads up that they were closed already or closing soon would have been appreciated.
Thank yall and have a great day!

Need to set this site up for more efficient service. Should reconfigure for two drive through lanes then onto recycling bins. Current configuration allows one one line of traffic and then backup into dumpster.

I just went by today to unload 6 bags of trash. They were closed at 4:30 PM. But your website, map quest & FB page & everywhere else says 6 PM. You might want to change those hrs on the internet...
