Donjuan Mexican Restaurant

Great. The soft corn shell was the best I've had in town. Tacos al Pastor were great. Not too greasy and just the right amount of spice. There's even a few small bits of pineapple on each taco. The chips and salsa were also good. Had the Chiliquiles on a different day. That was enough for two or three people. I ordered the steak, $1.50 extra. It came with nachos, sour cream, onion, cilantro and a full plate with lettuce, guacamole, refried beans and rice. I'm having this for leftovers tomorrow.

I got two tacos, which were absolutely amazing! Takes me back to the taco shops when I lived in San Diego. I also ordered a burrito, which was a HUGE mistake, as it was too big for me to finish. Absolutely great food, and I will be coming back as often as I can.

Update: I finished the burrito a couple of nights later, and even being a few days old and reheated in a microwave, it was still really good. I really liked that it had rice in the burrito with the steak, and adding the complimentary guacamole and red sauce added a nice depth of flavor and a little bit of heat (I didn't think it was very spicy, but I also grew up in Las Vegas and Southern California where the mild sauces are spicier than most of the "hot" sauces that I've encountered in Minnesota and Wisconsin).

The food is amazing and authentic!! The atmosphere is as well. The service was stellar she was so polite and on top of things. The owner is super friendly and asked us what we had and how we liked it. I felt so at home. We will be back for sure!!

The best Mexican food I've had in years! The food was phenomenal! The prices are reasonable especially given the size of the portions. We all brought food home.

First visit. Food was great..huge portions with authentic Mexican flavor. A little slow on service. Be prepared to use your Spanish if you know any.

Was there before Ashley for the Arts. Absolutely delicious!! You won't leave hungry! I had the shrimp fajitas. Their salsa Verde is super good too!!

Very simple, casual place that serves authentic Mexican food. I had shrimp Tacos which were delicious. The chips and salsa appear to be homemade. The salsa is fresh and mild. They also have an extensive selection of frozen dessert bars - all Mexican favorite flavors. I opted for a coconut cinnamon bar that was awesome!

Visiting town for business and I got my lunch here all week long. Kind and helpful people. Tasty food

This place is amazing! The salsas, especially the salsa Verde, is the best I've ever had. What a nice hidden gem in downtown Arcadia. I can't recommend this place more, and already want to go back. My son got the tacos, and there was a piece of bacon in it. 😍 The ingredients were all super fresh and they employees were very kind. Best authentic Mexican around.

Good Mexican food in a nice atmosphere. There's seemed to be a lot of Mexican restaurants in this small town.

Update: Returned back after two years. This place stills rock!!! Awesome foods. You can't find another best authentic Mexican foods this far north. Prices are reasonable and portions are big!!

You really can't go to Arcadia and not stop and get sone authentic Mexican food. The food was great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

We are visiting Arcadia and tried a bunch of restaurants and this one is by far the best. The paella was amazing! Tacos were great! Really nice presentation of food too.

Food was amazing and the staff was very nice and accommodating. I was expecting a deal when I got there but found out it was actually for the truck they have in lacrosse but the food made up for that!

Great tasting food. Portions are large for the money. I got the burrito, birria, carne asada, churros, and horchata. Way too much good for my family, but delicious. 10/10 would recommend!
