Pleasant Hill Vineyards

This is a lovely vineyard and restaurant. The wines are divine, and the food is delicious. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. You feel like you're coming home to a cozy wood cabin. 100% recommend a visit to Pleasant Hill if in the Athens, OH area.

Gorgeous place. Nice selection of wines for sweet to dry palate and delicious food. Small plates mainly, but all made well. Loved the scenery and both the indoor and outdoor seating. We've been a few times and have had a consistent nice experience. It's been quite a while since our last visit, but we hope to be back soon.

I feel the need to update my sparse review. This place is beyond fantastic. Great food, better wines and all Owners are present, attentive and wonderful. They handled the pandemic restrictions with creativity and safety first practices. They've reopened to thunderous attendance and it's still a completely uncompromising approach to public health while maintaining their unique and fun atmosphere. My wife and I have been coming here since not long after we got married and we still make time for dates on the gorgeous patio.

We love going to pleasant hill! I have been going for many years and just love when I am able to go either for a date night or girls night out! Not only is the wine so good but the food is always delicious. It’s such a cozy place in the cold weather times inside and during the summer the outdoor areas are so beautiful! We hope they will be there for many years to come!

Picturesque. Romantic. Fun. Unique. Every visit is better than the last. This is, by far, our favorite hidden gem in Athens. I'm from the area, but live in Columbus now, and we drive down as often as possible for the experience the owners have crafted!

The good wine, small plates, and inviting atmosphere makes a really great gift for a special someone, so if you want to impress friends and family, this venue is your best choice. We were last there 8/3/19 and discovered that they had expanded the covered pavilion (which provides Instaworthy sunset views of the Appalachian foothills) and added several comfy lounge spaces as well as seating in new areas along a little foot path. There is also a grill station that could help feed an army. The staff were really *pleasant*, too!

First time here, and now we will be regulars! The wines are great! The pizza is the best you will find in or around Athens. Oh and you wanted a view? Yep got that too!

This place is an amazing winery! It has been a few years since my wife and I have been here. I t is such a cozy place and the wines are amazing. They do have some unique and untraditional wines, but they are all good. Hopefully it isn't as long between our next visit.

What a gem. It's not hidden but a great place to stop. Excellent table wine. Lots a share plates to try. Vegetarian options also.

What a lovely time!! First experience at Pleasant Hill and it will not be my last. The wine was fantastic, food impeccable, and service was fantastic.
The Italian was amazing. I cannot wait to return for the outdoor experience. It was cold when we went, but their back deck looks amazing! Highly recommend.
