Acton Ace Hardware

Sometimes I go there twice a day, which is embarrassing, but I always find the staff helpful - when I ask - usually after zig-zagging through the aisles. The other day I looked for a fix for one of my refrigerator door bins, the bottom of which broke, sending various hot sauces onto the floor. I glued the pieces together but knew that was a fix bound to fail. Simon, at Ace suggested coating the bottom with white Flex Seal. I did, and voila!.

Not as big as the big box stores but they have what I need 95% of the time and with good service and I like visiting their birds 🐦

They always seem to have what I need. The lawn tool offerings are surprisingly good quality in my experience so far. The convenience comes at a slightly higher price, but it’s usually worth it.

Service is great! And there is plenty of personnel to assist! A wide variety of products and knowledgeable staff make the experience very good. I always stop by if I need pretty much anything.

They helped cut plastic glass($16.99) to fit the windows in my garage door. Save me a garage door($628.00)👍👍

Truly it is a great shop, most probably thanks to the managers on the floor (or in a Call Center).

The staff on the floor/call center is very helpful, but managers at this location are really excellent - they quickly solve a customer's priblem (9 times for me over the years).

The store is easily accessible on Rtn 27. Staff is very helpful. Store is large and well stocked. I find it much easier to shop here than at a 'big-box' store.

My husband and I came in at 4:55 (the store closed at 5) to get a gallon of paint....probably not the ideal ask at that moment, but we had a plan to paint that evening before having a carpet installed the following day. Patricia came through for us big time and made sure we got the right color, product and finish, paid for it while we waited and brought it out to us. Amazing service and we’re so glad this is our new local hardware store!

I love this place. Clean and friendly, tons of useful things beyond just hardware (I almost always leave with some kitchen wares), but also basically any hardware things you need as long as it's not like construction lumber.

I have gone to Ace Hardware in Acton for over a 15 years. They have always been helpful and honest.
The staff is excellent. They know the quality and functionality of the products they have. Mark sets the bar high and everyone measures up to it.
Often I get things that I end up not needing. I simply take them back and get the credit. This makes it easy for a non specialist to fix things in his own house. If I describe what I need and they don't think they have the right ones, they tell me. While this does not happen often, it gives me more confidence I am in the right place.
Moreover, they are part of the community supporting events like Acton Clean Up Day.
This store is an asset to the area.

The staff is friendly and helpful. It's usual that someone is standing near the front door to welcome you and ask if they can help you find something. I love that they hire many of the local high school students. Additionally, this store is a great supporter of various community efforts! Shop local!!

Was helped by Max, an employee, loading a 40 lbs bag of birdseed into my car. This was a major help.

Always helpful to an ignorant shopper. Almost always I can get what I need even if I didn't know what that was when I walked in the door.

Great place to shop for tools used for any do it yourself project . Staff is very very friendly and helpful. I bought some tools which I did not use they took returns without any bickering. It's located right on route 27 , very visible from main road . It has a big parking lot . It is always very pleasant to do business with them

Fun place to go. Not only do they have all the home maintenance and improvement items you'd expect, they also carry a selection of pretty and practical kitchen, dining and gift items. Fun stuff for us ladies. The staff is always friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

This is the best hardware store in my local area they carry many more specialty items related to woodworking. Also the reason getting invited stars is because the amount of coupons and savings they give you for being a Rewards member

I love local hardware stores and Acton Ace doesn't dissatisfy. This place has a friendly staff (many who have been there for a 15+ years) and a large variety of products fit into a moderately sized footprint. I will always pick Acton Ace Hardware before heading to the big box stores and most often they satisfy my needs. Rental equipment, plumbing & electrical supplies, a great paint department, and even fancy gifts and home decor. Go local before going anywhere else.
