Gail Ann Coffee Shop

Local and cash only (or venmo too now) coffee shop with sandwiches and delicious pastries. I usually get a hot or iced coffee and a coffee roll - the big size is great to bring home to share since it's the size of my face! Delicious.

Everyone is so nice here, and often people are sitting here chatting over food and drinks.

They have indoor and outdoor seating and are right across from the 80 bus stop which is convenient for me. There is also a book store and other food places to stop by if you want to make a morning or afternoon adventure here.

Great selection of old fashioned donuts and coffee at great prices. The staff are always so friendly. Very clean and a nice place to start your day. Be advised: cash and Venmo only.

My first time here and I have to say definitely by far one of the best donuts I have ever had.

I only bought a jelly donut, a spinach & feta pastry, and a smoothie here, but they were all delicious, and the size of the donuts are significantly larger than, say, Dunkin Donuts'. The spinach & feta pastry was amazing--really creamy filling with buttery, croissant-like bread. There staff is also very friendly and helpful.

This place has better coffee at half the price and the most amazing pastries - just good ol' fashioned, sugary, delicious doughnuts. Completely unlike Vernas down the street and IMO much better than Vernas. I always grab a chocolate cruller when I'm in the area.

The donuts are delicious, the coffee is hot and fresh, and everyone who works there is wonderful .

I love this place and it’s owners. We have been coming here for 19 years. It is now a regular stop for our children who used to arrive in a baby carrier and now walk there on their own. Delicious baked goods, family-owned and operated and a neighborhood feel without compare.

Excellent little shop for coffee and locally made donuts, bagels and more. As others have mentioned, this is a place to get classic donuts- glazed cake, lemon or raspberry cream, chocolate, etc. I've never seen maple bacon donuts here, but the donuts are always fresh and delicious.
I haven't tried their sandwiches but I hear good things about them.

Got a dozen of the most delicious donuts. Oh my god this is the Way Donatist to be made and this is a hidden gem in Arlington. Absolutely amazing. I wish I had found it sooner. You guys are amazing. Keep up the good work.

Our go-to donut shop in Arlington! They're absolutely huge [the donuts], and really delicious, everything you're looking for in a donut on a Sunday morning. They've got a good selection of other pastries and a nice variety of coffee flavors. They're cash only BUT they also accept Venmo for payments.

Just tried this little gem of a place and it was wonderful! I don't live in the Boston area but occasionally come in for work and discovered this via Google. Wonderfully crafted menu with big donuts, decadent muffins, bagels, sandwiches, on and on and on! Great bang for your buck and way better than the big chains in my humble opinion! Super friendly staff (talk about treating the customer as a valued patron!), quaint, and just kind of perfect!! Oh also, as other reviews have mentioned, it is cash or Venmo only. Make sure to tip them well!!

A hidden gem! Great cash only, very affordable spot for donuts and coffee. Gail Ann’s has a wonderful classic feel to it, for when you’re tired of all the fancy (and expensive) new donut shops in the area.

Stopped in here this am for first time. Friendly service. Delicious hit breakfast sandwich fresh made. And amazing donuts. Much better than a chain. Always support the small businesses!

The Boston area has a ton of amazing doughnut shops but none compare to Gail Ann's. If you want fancy flavors, you won't find that here. If you want classics that are cheap, flavorful and delicious, Gail Ann's is your choice. Their coffee rolls are gigantic and can be split with 3 people, unless you're really hungry ;).

Only bad thing is they are cash/vemno only.

Such a cute little place! The donuts were huge and so homemade good! Had a good chicken salad sandwich. Going back to try their soup. Sounded very yummy. The owners were so cute and loved all the kids that came in. Very kid friendly!

I’m a donut fiend and let me tell you, these are amazing. I got the little donut holes - chocolate coconut, chocolate with sprinkles, and plain with sprinkles - SO GOOD! I loved in Arlington for almost 2 years before discovering this little hole in the wall gem. I got an apple cinnamon muffin for my boyfriend and it was huge and delicious (according to him).

Whether you are a regular local or a first time visitor you get a friendly greeting and a tasty array of donuts and pastries. The breakfast sandwiches are also good, and the quality of all the food is definitely head and shoulders above that ubiquitous coffee and donut chain.

Simply the best donuts and coffee ,huge donuts made fresh daily and muffins are to die for.(try the pistachio muffin my personal favorite)Staff is so nice, you can tell they care about their customers.family business that treats you like family ,not stuffy or impersonal unlike the big chain places. Lastly when they have soup order it , it's homemade and amazing. Goes fast.
