Millwood State Park

I always enjoy visiting the State Park at Millwood. Sometimes, I just drive through the campgrounds just because.. and that's what I did this time. I had my puppy with me. Rolled down the window for him, and we slowly rolled through. Not a soul was camping. It was so quiet... and peaceful. The Canadian Geese were out and about walking around. There was 1 person at the boat ramp that I could see. It's a few dollars more than the other campgrounds but then again it's worth it. They spray for bugs. When we stayed at Cottonshed, on the other side of the lake, the mosquitos were so big they could carry you off. Also you pay for that service. Another one that I like is it is patrolled. The police and game wardens drive through to check the scene

This is a great park to bring your trailer or tent to stay in and enjoy the nature that's all around us from beautiful looking and sounding bird sounds. Also the many great tall healthy pine trees are amazing to see. The staff there are very nice too.

Great place for a family reunion.. new bathroom facility was nice, although there was not soap.. would love to see a bridge or some sort of crossing from the pavilion to the play equipment area, to avoid the deep wet area around the pavilion

We enjoyed an nice afternoon here. We loved watching the birds and enjoyed the swings along side the water. It was great just to be able to enjoy the outdoors. It was pretty cool getting to watch the water coming through the dam. What a wonderful park. Pack a lunch come and enjoy the day outside.

My boyfriend and I stayed in a tent and we camped there for 4 days and 3 nights. I love how quiet and clean the environment is! very beautiful nature preserve trails for hiking or biking

We have been cooped up for too long and decided to drive out to Millwood State Park and see what it was like. The camping area looked to be pretty nice but we were just wanting to get out in nature a little bit. We walked on the Waterfowl Way Trail. There wasn’t much to see but just getting some fresh air was great.

We didn't stay there, just biked through. We camped on the other side of the dam, and it was great. Millwood looked real nice for tenters and any size RV. Shaded, marina, park check in building, some swampy trails. Very peaceful area. Very peaceful.

Fun place to get away , lake access and nice hiking trails that are easy to walk.

Great, friendly, and helpful people who work here. Clean facilities and beautiful State Park to camp at. Keep up the great service.

Nice friendly staff. They were so helpful in locating and retuning my lost cell phone. Can't thank them enough. Beautiful scenery and fine campsites for tent or RV. Several clean bathrooms and showers. Best hiking trails I've seen around this area and Lake Millwood has some of the best fishing in this region.

We want to come back when it isn’t so wet. The picture is of the Wildlife Lane trail. If you want to walk it now; wear muck boots. The Waterfowl trail was mostly dry and we could do the majority of it but couldn’t do the full loop as it was also under water. Peaceful spot walking in the trees; leaves crunching and the calm water.

Nice park to camp or fish at with the whole family and it's kept up well.

Always peaceful and quiet. Staff us friendly and keep the park clean and welcoming. Just watch out for ticks near ponds.

Absolutely loves this lake. ❤ I grew up here. Have a lot of family memories here. It's beauty is astounding.
The staff at the marina, state park side are terrific.

Meet a few nice ppl. The bathroom were clean and they had toilet paper and paper towels. Caught 1 catfish that we gave away to another family fishing

The park and lake are nice, the road noise was not good.

Awesome place for fishing, swimming and alligators. Have fun. Highly recommend.

Great park layout. Plent of space between each RV and they have separate spots for handicapped. Most sires are under the trees. You can be close to water as well. We will definitely be back should our travels bring us this direction. Discount for handicapped was a nicr surprise.
