Hastings Hardback Cafe

I like Hardback, but it depends who is making the coffee. If you get a cold brew with cream and flavor, it almost always tastes different depending on the barista. However, the frappes are always good and pretty consistent. Their Chai is also great. I prefer hardback to plateau espresso. But the fact that it's inconsistent makes me prefer starbucks to hardback.

Monday, April 22nd, 3:00 p.m. ordered a latte with free flavor add on of chocolate. The clerk charged me for a mocha. When I told her that the special is any flavor in any drink according to their sign and advertised on Facebook, she argued with me. I told her that all month I had been ordering this and getting the free flavor add in and she told me that was wrong. I got my money back. Not buying anymore gift cards for friends from this place...always confusion...don't know if poor training or poor management or both. Incident like this makes the place look cheap.
