Sister's American Grill

We finally tried this restaurant after hearing there was a new chef and the food was much improved. It was excellent! The cheese puff appetizers were melt in your mouth delicious. I had a seafood pasta special that was also great. We were very pleasantly surprised!

Had a wonderful dinner and experience on Saturday evening after a play at the Barter Theater.
Dinner was delicious. Sarah was our waitress and she was personable and very attentive. Atmosphere is always lovely here. Can't wait to dine again.

Excellent dinner here tonight while staying at the Martha Washington. Eggplant parmigiana was cooked perfectly and cream of asparagus soup was soooo good. Service was great too. Great value even without our guest voucher.

In the lower level of a beautiful hotel is a great little restaurant. The food is dressed classy, the patrons are dressed casual, and the service is great.

Had a fabulous meal here with my son. He got the delicious Shepherd's pie and I got the yummy salmon. The server was so thoughtful about my son's tree nut allergy and the food was tremendous. We loved the sorbet for dessert. A really lovely dinner in a beautiful place.

Lovely restaurant with spectacular ambience. The service was excellent. We started off with a wedge salad. I had the Grilled Salmon and my husband had the Pork Osso Bucco. Both were perfect. Afterward we shared the bread pudding with ice cream. Everything was delicious

A great little restaurant tucked within "THE Martha". Breakfast was great, and was gluten free AND delicious! We had supper one night and they altered my meal so that it was gluten free (the stuffed mushrooms) FABULOUS 👌

You have to try it! Don’t miss out on the deviled eggs and Fried green tomatoes. Fish and chips are a must at least once. Whatever you do don’t skip out on dessert it’s to die for.

Off the scale great....the only thing better than the good was the service. New York City quality in a small Virginia town. Perfect 15 on a scale of 1 to 10.

Spectacular. The food was amazing, we sat on the front porch and ate there. The waitress was wonderful and the owner stopped by and talked to us a couple times. When it got a little chilly later on, the waitress moved one of the outdoor heaters to our table for us. Shepherd's Pie was phenomenal and my wife loved the Shrimp Carbonara. An absolutely wonderful place to eat and worth every penny!

Had a great dinner at Sister’s. The Salmon was the best I have had in SW Virginia and my wife liked her chicken piccata. Great atmosphere and service. I will have to go back again.

We were very blessed this evening. After entering the restaurant that “everyone” said to go to and finding that they had a 1.5 hour wait, we found this gem. We are not guests at the hotel and the gentleman that answered my call assured me that even though they were booked, he could fit us in. Sure enough, after a few sips of our cocktail, he took us to our table. Not only is the restaurant classy and historical, but the service and food are excellent. We are so grateful to the folks that made our evening so pleasant. You must visit when you are in Abington!!

We ate there again on August 18th, 2021. We had salads with the protein added. The food was fresh and well prepared. The service was excellent. Tables are not crowded together.

Lovely place to dine! Our server Jennifer's knowledge of the menu was spot on. The pumpkin soup was savory & creamy ... the grilled salmon was perfectly seasoned ... and the toffee bread pudding served warm with vanilla ice cream was the perfect ending to a perfect meal.

This was my first visit to the Sisters at the Martha, my family and I made reservations for Christmas Eve dinner. This has to be the absolute best meal I've ever had! I got the Pork Osso Bucco it came with collard greens and baked beans. The pork was so tender the baked beans had incredible flavor and the collard greens were incredible. Along with excellent food the service was AMAZING! Our waitress Kat was so helpful and attentive! I highly recommend this restaurant!

Excellent atmosphere. Even better food. Great music from steely Dan to the Meters. Super friendly staff, fun to be around! After a long day of traveling it was perfect. Not for the budget-minded.

We only had drinks and apps at the bar, but the service was great.

The items available for the free continental breakfast were pretty good. Plenty of choices in a pleasing setting.

We love eating here each year when we stay at the Martha Washington Inn for our anniversary. The Salmon is delicious!!!
