Had this 8oz filet special last night and it was so good! The meals always are a hit there! The Devils Oven sandwich is so good, prime rib on Saturdays is up there on one of the best I have ever had! There are always different specials each week which is awesome and they have cool cocktails. They have friendly and attentive staff, the bartender is amazing, and the chefs meals are spectacular! 10/10 recommend stopping down here whether it’s for drinks or dinner

In my one experience at this restaurant as a tourist from out of town, I had a young man named Daniel as my server. He offered incredible service & was so polite to my entire family. He was quick to offer refills and make sure we were taken care of, and even sparked up conversation with us when he had a moment. The food was great & the place itself was quite charming. Truly an unforgettable experience.

So glad we ended up coming here and they were open for lunch! The bartender added a brown sugar rim for our pumpkin beer :) Both soups were ordered was fantastic, definitely homemade! Cheese Curd app was absolutely delightful, light and crispy! Finally, the French Dip was made to perfection!
Our server, Maria, was awesome! Made sure I had napkins and a full glass at all times! Can’t wait to come back!

This place is a MUST stop. A-bay will ways be a hot stop for me and my mom friends as it's our "mom-stay-away" destination for 10+ years. We have our planned "go-tos" but this year that unexpectedly changed. Our usual place was oddly closed so we figured we'd give 1864 a try and we were impressed. They were more than happy to accommodate our large-ish party last minute! We had to wait 15 minutes due to a previous rush (good sign?), totally understandable, but they didn't miss a beat our entire time there - and we were there a hot minute, never to feel rushed! The tomahawk ribeye... Dare I say divine?! Umm ya, it was DIVINE! AND fesh salad to top it🤤🤤🤤🤤 And I have to share
I'm a french fry snob and when contemplating writing a review I saw a review about flaccid fries (made me laugh first off) and knew I had to set the record straight... well I asked for mine well done and they did not disappoint! Crispy as a cruncher! I've seen reviews for this bomb-shell being over priced, but let's face it, you get what you pay for! We were by no means disappointed! This is our new "meeting place" on our way to our moms weekend! Live band was bonus! My moves, not so much 😅... Try 1864, they won't let you down!

We showed up last night with a group of 10 and no reservation. We are a rowdy and inappropriate bunch. We had Daniel as our server. He handled our group with professionalism even when some of our group were being somewhat difficult. He made sure we all had drinks and didn’t have to wait. He was pleasant and engaging. He did such a great job. Our food was good. I wish the fries were more crispy and less flaccid. Our experience was great here and Daniel was an the cause of that.

We ate a very late lunch here, around 3:30pm on a Thursday, and the salmon bowl with coconut rice was delicious! I wasn't sure what to expect from a non-descript name like "1864" but the crab cakes appetizer was quite tasty. The salmon bowl with coconut rice was enough for a couple meals for me! My friend said his fish & chips wasn't as good as he was hoping, but it wasn't bad either. I loved that the outdoor seating that was still covered and somewhat private.

The food was good. Salads were unique and fresh and they had a lot to healthy options like chicken bowls. Service by Zacharias was awesome. Super engaging, very attentive and communicative with our kids. We were seated right away and the staff in general was awesome. We were pleasantly surprised as the food and experience were much better than the rating. Thanks for a solid experience, Zacharias and the 1864 team.

A literally description of 1000 Islands life. From the decor, to the names of the menu items, to the Tragically Hip playing 24/7. The food is beautiful and the service is always on point. A true river rat experience and a must see in ABay

In my travels I ended up in Alexandria bay and came to this fine establishment, I had Daniel as my server and honestly he was the best server I’ve ever had, greeted me with smiles knew everything about the menu and was very helpful, if I ever end back up in a bay I’ll be calling ahead to make sure Daniel is there and is available to be my server.

Daniel was an excellent server. I will definitely be coming back the next time I’m in Alexandria Bay in hopes that he’s still there to provide us with another exquisite experience.

Husband and I decided to try the food for a second time. What a change!!! Complete 180, food tonight was delicious, fries were crispy and golden brown not soggy like last time, entrees were hot and flavorful.
Service was extremely lacking...we will be back I'm sure.

We went early for dinner and service was outstanding. A good variety on the menu. We had apps and two main courses. The food was well cooked and plentiful. Can't understand some of the other reviews since the steak was clearly noted as coming with mashed potatoes, which were obviously homemade with fresh chives and a good serving of grilled squash. Also decent wine selection served correctly in generous pours.

We went right at the beginning of the season and they had some delays in the kitchen trying to keep up with how many people showed up for brunch. But they were so nice about it and kept us updated! They kept asking us if we wanted more drinks on the house, and apologized many times. We weren't in a rush so it didn't bother us and we could see they were slammed. We both got the red sangria which was delicious! We also got the Monte Cristo and blueberry cream cheese french toast. The food was very good and the staff were so nice!

Great experience at 1864! Recently renovated with a modern decor and beautiful bar area. Nice variety of craft beers on tap, we had one at the bar before enjoying a bottle of wine with dinner. Filet was cooked as requested and Berkshire pork chop was a good size portion, also perfectly prepared. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and our meal was paced well. Other reviewers mentioned a separate charge for paying with a credit card, we did not experience this. We will be back on our next visit!
