Jackson Lumber & Millwork

I needed high quality mahogany in a hurry to build a contemporary style fence for a customer. I called Jackson Lumber, and Carl helped me fulfill the order. He was extremely helpful and accommodating, answering all my questions. I will definitely be doing business with Carl and Jackson Lumber again!!

Great just avoid Carl he's lazy. Look for the girl up at the front desk. She bothers to look things up, vs. Carl who at first wanted to send us from Amesbury to Woburn MA. For a product that he didn't want to look up. The girl made him check the computer first before sending us away. Thank goodness because they just so happened to have the small amount of mahogany decking we needed. We only needed to replace 3 boards.

I have visited Jackson Lumber several times before, hoping for improvement, but my last visit confirmed the ongoing issues with customer service. Upon entering the store, I was not greeted despite being the only customer there. The staff member at the counter barely acknowledged my presence, asking if I had an account without making eye contact. Even after clarifying a misunderstanding about what type of account was being referred to, the interaction didn't improve. His lack of engagement made the experience feel unwelcoming. I've found customer service at larger chains like Lowe's and Home Depot to be far superior to what I've experienced at the Amesbury location of Jackson Lumber.

Terrible customer service. They pass you around on the phone and don't return calls. I ordered two replacement Andersen windows. Their guy came out to measure and placed the order. One window was two inches short on the sides. I left a phone message about the issue with the customer service rep on Monday and now its Thursday with still no return call. Avoid frustration and take your business elsewhere.

I was treated so rudely by several people working there. I was trying to buy material to fix a botched job by a contractor. They kept passing my around without an answer. Then the contractor emailed us telling us we would not be allowed to buy there I had to go through them. No one at Jackson had the courtesy to tell us. I would not buy a single screw from them. This is a free country the last time I looked. I expect to buy what I want when I want. With Jackson limber that is no longer true. Basically they wasted my time by not giving me an answer. Sorry but I will not recommend them to anyone.

Update your website for proper business hours of operation. Spoke to a gentleman on the phone today and he stated you would be open until 5pm. Drove to your location only to see a hand made sign that says close at 4pm. Try to think about your customers and their time.
