Small State Provisions

Went to Small State for the first time on a Sunday morning, and arrived for their opening. The croissant and ham and cheese croissant were out of this world with an unparalleled flakiness and wonderful buttery tasty. The pink cinnamon roll was delicious as well, and the best part about all of it was the freshness!! Great job Kevin, keep up the amazing work!!

There is nothing “small” about this place. The place exudes warmth with an incredible taste. Kevin exudes genuine warmth and incredible hospitality. Almost everything here is A+. Tried the Sourdough bread, Banana Nut Bread, Pecan nut muffin, Flat White - all of them are just natural and good. ❤ - Must visit if you are in Hartford or Avon.

I recently tried the breakfast sandwich at Small State Provisions Bakery in Avon and it was delightful! The baked egg patty on their delicious focaccia bread was a tasty combination. The new space they've opened on Old Farms Road, next to Hopmeadow Brewing Company, is a charming addition. They offer a variety of freshly baked sourdough breads, a full coffee bar, and a tempting selection of sweet and savory baked goods like muffins, scones, and cookies. While the breakfast sandwich was a hit, I'd definitely explore their other offerings next time.

Lovely bakery with lots of fresh baked options. I went in for my first time today and got almond croissant, cinnamon buns and the fococia and they were all delicious! They make breakfast sandwiches and other savory items as well. I will definitely be coming back!

I finally got to visit this cute stop while in town for a wedding. The shop is cute, clean, and incredibly inviting! The house sourdough is amazing, doesn’t disappoint. And don’t sleep on the banana bread! I finished off my slice before my latte was even ready! Can’t wait to come back!

The orange cheesecake is the creamiest and most delicious cheesecake I’ve had in a long time… maybe even my entire life. I could eat the crust even all on its own. It’s thick and caramelized and tastes so unique.

Cute little place with limited choices but what they have is delicious. I highly recommend the milk bread. So tasty toasted with butter, you don't need anything else. The gingerbread cookies are to die for! The weekends have additional choices and the coffee is good. It's got a warehouse feel to the building, you stand in line, choose your food, and there are tables to sit down. This isn't a restaurant but it is a good place to go get a coffee and a sandwich or pastry. The focaccia bread is a weekend option and worth taking a trip down.

Cute bakery, Cafe, and coffee shop! Located not far from the center of Avon, and right off the bike trail, this is a stellar shop! I love the sourdough and the milk bread the best, but the focaccia is delicious, too!

There's lots of different daily offerings, so go early! The best things sell out before lunch. Definitely my favorite new place!

Small state has some of the best fresh bread and pastries in the area. The coffee is excellent and strong.

Went into this lovely bakery (and more) about a month after their opening. The coffee is amazing and I'm addicted to their sourdough bread. Everything is healthy and Kevin is so sweet and helpful.

We are so lucky to have Small State in Avon! The bread is amazing (all of them - house sour, focaccia, and do not forget the milk bread). Scones, Cinnamon buns, cookies, and all of the other treats are so delicious! They have a full coffee bar at this location which is also delicious. Most importantly, they’re the nicest people. Do yourself a favor and check them out.

Ended up getting there as they were about to close(1:55p) and was able to snag up a vegan cauliflower sandwich … whoa!!! It was insane!!! Can’t wait to go back!!!! Super nice staff too!!!

Incredible!! I’ve been in twice now and I’m blown away, friendly service, the best sour dough I’ve ever had, and delicious scones. I can’t wait to try their pizza night!

My husband and I stumbled upon this place and it was worth the find! The potato cheddar galette was tears worthy. The owners are so personable and place had a great energy. Definitely will be back.
