The staff at the Maker created a perfectly curated experience that made us feel like the only guests staying there.

They were so incredibly accommodating and warm. I could have stayed there for WEEKS.

Pia and Daisy provided us with the most memorable dinner experience. It was worth every dollar spent and the quick 2 hour train ride from the city.

Thanks so much to everyone from the concierge desk, housekeeping, the bartenders, waiters, busboys and special shoutout to the pastry chef, we’ll be thinking about that Pavlova for weeks.

My recent visit to The Maker Hotel in Hudson left me thoroughly impressed and eager to award it a well-deserved 5 stars. The restaurant's unique Prohibition Era themed lounge sets the stage for an enchanting cocktail experience, blending the charm of the past with modern hospitality. I must say, it's quite unexpected, but a pleasant surprise!

My cocktail for the evening was the Love Maker which was not on the menu anymore but recommended by our bartender Eduardo after sharing my preferred flavor profiles of cucumber and gin,the cocktail was absolutely exquisite.My boyfriend had an old fashioned with Basil Hayden. He said it was one of the best old fashioned cocktails that he has ever had

In summary, The Maker stands out not only for its creative theme but also for its commitment to delivering exceptional food, drinks and service. For those seeking a culinary journey with a touch of nostalgia, this hidden gem in Hudson is absolutely clutch to your places to visit.

There are hotels that you say "I will stay here again!" about next time you find yourself in a city, and there are hotels that are worth the journey themselves. The Maker is the latter.

My wife and I were stunned by it. Shocked at the level of attentiveness to guests, detailing in the rooms, and the fact that almost nothing there seemed off. We laughed as we combed our room (The Architect) looking for flaws in an otherwise exceptional experience.

Every element of the experience is carefully considered and shows a sense of hospitality you just don't get at somewhere like the Waldorf Astoria or even other boutique 5 star hotels. A key example to me was breakfast. Before the excellent cafe opens at 8, your choice of coffee or tea and a print(!) NYT are delivered to your room to tide you over. No in-room Keurig here.

We promised ourselves we'd be back multiple times a year to enjoy a weekend away in their care. It's such an exceptional experience, the price seemed almost beside the point by the time we left.

If there was one detail that ultimately frustrated us, it was the lights in our room. The impeccable decor used many, many, lamps, none of which were controlled from switches. Going to bed involved turning off each of the half dozen lamps in addition to all the switches. If a renovation is ever considered, a "master switch" for room lighting at the bed would be much appreciated.

I've never stayed at the Maker Hotel,but my wife and I LOVE the restaurant. Delicious food, I really enjoy their coffee. Excellent waitstaff. Wonderfully decorated.

THIS HOTEL IS 1 OF A KIND ! ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC !!! Everything from the Restaurant, the Cafe, The Lounge bar, Rooms and customer service was phenomenal. Had our anniversary here and it couldn’t have went better ! A young man named Teddy, was the Receptionist and he greeted us with a warm smile and helped with our every need that evening. Highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a great experience in Hudson, NY !

The Maker is one of the most beautiful, well designed hotel/restaurants I’ve been too in a long time. Third visit and the staff is beyond friendly, knowledgeable and a great vibe overall. Last night ate in the amazing lounge and had two of the best pastas ever. I highly recommend the experiences is worth it all.

The best quote from our trip to the maker was, "Would you like some guidance going somewhere?" This was just after I tripped up the steps from the cafe to the library. What would have otherwise been a calamity morphed into directions. This is the heart of the maker. You are welcomed with warmth, enticed into every texture/splendor/sensory experience as a familiar friend rather than a foreign guest. This theme is woven through the experience in an opulent atmosphere designed to create relaxation, sensuality, and adventure.

This hotel is a wonderful place to stay. It is on the main shopping and eating street of Hudson, a very pleasant town to walk and visit. The hotel itself has a number of interesting areas to hang out in, including places to eat and drink. A standout for me was the thought and expense put into the furniture and decor of each room. The service was also outstanding, starting with a nice tour by the head concierge. All the rest of the staff was friendly and efficient too.
I would very happily return here.

I attended The Maker’s 2022 NYE party and had a great time. The hotel is visually stunning with lots of beautiful details. There were delicious food and drink offerings and the staff moved quickly to prevent overcrowding and lines. The party was through out the ground floor, making it fun to move around different spaces for a choose-your-own adventure: dance floor with a super fun DJ and burlesque performances, cozy fireside bar, seated cafe, and outdoor patio. The staff moved throughout with calm and confidence and the attendees were a pleasant eclectic mix, creating a fun and inclusive vibe. Definitely a splurge but a quality experience.

My partner and I stayed here as guests for the weekend. The staff were absolutely wonderful, John gave us a tour and the history of the building. Bar tenders in the speakeasy were hilarious and attentive, good chat! Rooms are the some of the nicest we’ve seen. Location is superb, honestly couldn’t say a single bad thing. My partner and I are sitting in the lounge as we speak and said, “This has been one of the best weekends we’ve had in a while”, big thanks to The Makers for your hospitality!

My husband and I spent two nights at The Maker after celebrating our wedding and loved every single minute of our stay. We were greeted on arrival by John, who made us feel right at home by giving us a detailed tour of the property before showing us to our room. Our room was a spacious, Old Hollywood-inspired suite complete with Art Deco touches. We were in awe from the moment we walked inside! After sampling the Fragrance Library, we headed to the cocktail bar and enjoyed several rounds with the incredibly knowledgeable bartender Tommy, who continued to take amazing care of us throughout our stay (and who held down the entire bar while engaging all of his guests. So impressive). The restaurant was closed during our visit, but we will definitely be back to try it next time. We loved waking up to coffee each morning, delivered in a thermos to our door along with a copy of the Times. Days were spent reading by the fire in the library and parlor areas (side note—the music played throughout the hotel was the perfect accompaniment, never intrusive and just the right volume). Every staff member we encountered enhanced our experience with their kindness (shout out to Darien!).
Working in the hospitality industry ourselves, it was such a treat being on the receiving end of such personal, detail-oriented service. I truly can’t say enough good things about our stay. We feel so refreshed and inspired from our weekend away. It was one of the best vacations we’ve ever taken. Thank you again! We are so grateful to have discovered The Maker, and can’t wait to be back.

A few friends and I decided to pop into the lounge for a cocktail on Saturday night because we've heard such great things about the food, space, and drinks. The lounge is located in the back of the hotel; past the beautiful Victorian-style decor and library, and through the charming modern dining room. The lamps that lead you to the back make you feel like you're entering an exclusive club! We were immediately greeted by Levi, who led us to our cozy chairs and set us up with some menus. We ordered a variety of cocktails: a couple from the unique menu that is inspired by their fragrances (!!), one from their rotating menu, and one old-fashioned. They were all beautiful and delicious and the space made me feel like I lived in NYC again. Will definitely be back.

We had a lovely time at the Maker for dinner. It quickly translated into amazing once we met manager, DORIAN, who provided us with a tour of the premises with care and precision detail. It is unusual that someone radiates this level of passion for knowledge and history and is such an epic host. Bottom line= he is a phenomenal soul and guru level status of hotel management!!!!! My one critique to the Maker overall is to consider making at least 1 or so rooms pet friendly as we were/are not able to spend the night with (well behaved & adorable) fur kids in tow. Overall, an absolutely STUNNING boutique hotel; one of the most beautiful I have been to. Thank you.

Fabulous simply doesn’t describe this amazing property. My wife and I just finished our first stay here at the Maker Hotel. When we arrived we were warmly greeted by John the GM and given a private tour of the property. From start to finish the staff made you feel like you were welcome anywhere you wished to roam. The food was superb, the cocktails were delicious, our room was gorgeous, the gym was terrific, and most of all the service was first class. Thank you to Tommy, John, and the entire Maker staff for making our stay so memorable. See you all real soon!

We had a great Brunch at the Maker over the Holiday's and are always welcomed by a comfortable friendly environment. Everything is curated and even down to the smells of the spaces are perfected. Great brunch spot that's elevated and chill, perfect for a weekend get a way - also loved the fragrances!

Our group of 27 planned a two hour stop at the Maker for a bachelorette party and had an AMAZING time. We worked with Pia the event coordinator in advance to choose canapés and a set of drinks for our group to choose from. We had our own private area set aside for our party, the area was loaded with character and had a very cool vibe. Pia hooked us up with the resident Tarot card reader John to do individual readings during our stop and John was a total hit. The group was very impressed by the location, drinks, food offerings, and especially service. Thank you Pia and Maker team 🙌❤!!

The Maker Hotel is an oasis of luxury and hospitality. I stayed in the gorgeous and opulent room 6. Drinking my morning coffee (delivered to the door in a thermos!) on the roof deck day bed was a real highlight. The property is beautiful and inviting with so much attention to detail. Every staff member I encountered was welcoming and gracious. My favorite area was the conservatory where they also serve dinner. I ate a quiet breakfast there with light streaming in. The pool is also a treat with stylish loungers and was surprisingly quiet during my stay. Dinner and drinks from the lounge was simple and delicious and I loved sitting al fresco by the fountain. The concierge was knowledgable, accommodating and made me feel right at home. I can't wait to return with my family sometime in the winter to enjoy the cozy fireplaces.

I attended the New Years party and thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful and fun atmosphere, live performances, music, and the amazing food and drinks! Everyone working the event was attentive to all the details and really friendly. Hands down the best way to ring in the new year. The Maker knows how to throw a fun party! Looking forward to attending another in the future.
