Jenkins Lumber & Hardware

For three months we have been working with the team at Jenkins Lumber on a project to build a house in Alpine, WY, while living in Washington, DC. They are great people. Their experience and expertise is adds layers to their brand.

Old school hardware store, love it! These are the types of businesses you can get the best service at. And I always have whenever I need to go in. Also, I really like the new paint store (same business) they are definitely on their A Game.

Good selection of anything hardware. Found it to be much better than the Ace across the road.

Unbelievably helpful people here! My vehicle battery died while on vacation about a year ago and they were the closest place that sold new ones so I bought one from them. I didn't have my tools with me, but they found their toolkit for me and let me borrow everything I needed to get it installed.

Fast forward a year in the future, today in fact. The battery had gone bad (likely due to my kids leaving the lights on a time or two), but was under warranty for a full year and a half more. I couldn't find the receipt and took the long shot in the dark by calling Jenkins Lumber. I found the date I bought my battery, and the manager went to the trouble to help me find the receipt and then e-mail it to me.

I've gotta say, customer service like that is incredibly rare. They went out of their way to help me out with the tools a year ago, and out of their way to help me again today. Thanks to them I was able to save about $150 by getting a free replacement with the receipt.
