Neely's Train Shop

My daughters & I, minus the Mrs, spent the weekend near Pittsburgh and stopped at Neely's on our way back to NJ. I am just getting started and always amazed at the varied selections each train store has, and Neely's is no different.

There are a couple of magnificently organized display cases with old trains and accessories not for sale that is a pleasure to look at. I took a stroll around the store and noticed some postwar ZW transformers so I went up to the front to ask and the owner explained the costs & lifetime guarantee on the refurbed units. He also plugged it in and showed me how to use it, the circuit breaker function, and some hints for hooking it up and adding a little more protection for modern engines.

There were a large selection of new items and gently used items available for engines and rolling stock, scenery & sets.

My grown daughters were with me and enjoyed walking around seeing all the different cars. They picked out a couple surprise presents for my upcoming birthday.

We are Disney fans, as is the owner, and there are some phenomenal old train and non-train Disney memorabilia on display throughout the store.

We could have spent more time checking everything out, but we had a couple more stops the girls wanted to make and a few hour drive back home. I wish Neely's was closer and I would always stop in again if we are ever passing by. I highly recommend Neely's for the selection and friendly service.

What a great old-fashioned model train shop! They have a huge selection of trains, engine and cars both new and used, as well as parts & supplies for sale but they also have a museum quality display of first class Lionel and model railroading memorabilia! The owners are pleasant, knowledgeable and willing to share their knowledge to newcomers or people like me just getting back into the hobby for our grandchildren. My only disappointment is that I didn't find this place sooner! Take the time to visit. I think you'll agree with me!

Great train shop! The owner was very nice and knocked some money off of my purchase! They had a wide selection of train and hobby items. They also had displays of classic and antique hobby items.

This is the best train store I have ever been too! The selection is amazing! Prices are amazing! Donna and rich are amazing! If you need Lionel, n gauge and everything in between this is the place to go! We live 3 hours away and it was worth every penny in gas to get here! Highly recommend these folks!!!!

This is the best train shop that I have found. Rick is very knowledgeable and very friendly. They have starter sets along with the latest most detailed locomotives. Plus, a huge selection of trains cars and accessories for any layout. The prices are great and they stand behind what they sell.

This is a premiere Train Shop. Brand new wide spacious a huge selection of collectibles. And the folks at Neelys are always a pleasure to talk with. And not to mention the great deals

I live in Atlanta and this was my first visit since Neely’s moved to their current location. I was not disappointed. Donna was working when my son and I were in the store and I enjoyed visiting with her as much I did my last time in Neely’s. My son and I both left with some new items for our collections.

If you’re in Altoona I would highly recommend dropping in at Neely’s.

This is a fantastic family run train shop. They specialize in Lionel and O gauge but also have products for HO, N, G and a few Standard scale items.
You never know what you'll find on each visit and that's what makes it such an interesting place!

Excellent service, Rick is very knowledgeable about all things Lionel trains. They have new stuff, old stuff refurbished - an amazing selection. Highly recommend stopping in.

My old engine burnt up and the owner was willing to break up a set and sell me just a new engine for half the price! Will return in the future.
