Such a lovely family hosting this place. There is space for 2-3 tents, and has anything else you need. The homemade food is also very delicious and recommended.

Sona and Vahagn are very welcoming and kind hosts. Sona speaks excellent English. I stayed a total of 4 nights, I am a solo bicycle traveller and the weather was bad and so I stayed here to wait for better weather to climb Mt Khustup. The family helped me with my travel plans, arranged taxi for my bike, cooked delicious meals, and even provided food and drinks without being requested. Very kind and generous, this is the best place to stay in Kapan. Highly recommend.

It’s such a beautiful and nice campsite! The owner are amazing - very supportive and friendly. There is space for tents, really good and clean bathroom and kitchen. From the terrace you have an amazing view! We didn’t have it but we have heard the dinner and breakfast are excellent!

I camped here from 17–18th June 2023 as part of a through-hike of the Transcaucasian Trail. It is wonderful. The hosts Sona and Vahagn are kind and wise. Sona speaks excellent English and can also tell you about the local geology. They can help you with whatever you need such as taxi rides to Kapan. The view is great. The food is varied and plentiful. Highly recommended.

Sona and her husband vahgan ( I hope I write is correct) own a garden with the best view of kapan and they share the yard with you for camping with good facilities like nice clean and equipped kitchen with refrigerator and electrical oven and kettle, and clean toilets and a shower with electrical water heater and a washing machine to do your laundry. I enjoyed the place and moreover I enjoyed talking the lovely couple to know more about armenia and armenian culture,
The last 20 meters to reach the garden can be difficult to drive a sedan car inside, but Vahgan saved us!

Wonderful place to relax, run by a lovely family. Clean with a beautiful view. Don't you dare miss out on the host Sona's delicious dinner! :)

Great campsite close to Kapan.

Hiking on the Legend Trail, on your way to Iran or just wandering around Armenia, you should definitely stop at Hilltop Camping to rest for one night or more.

Sona and her husband are amazing hosts and their goal is to make you feel at home. Sona speaks a perfect English, is very knowledgeable and open-minded so we had very interesting conversations during our stay. They offered us watermelon, fresh vegetables from their garden and delicious homemade cookies.
And this should be enough to make you want to stay at their place, but that’s not all!

Their place is great to chill and rest with a big shadowy terrace and a beautiful view, their tents are very spacious and comfortable, and the shared kitchen and bathrooms are very useful and well kept.

Absolutely wonderful and authentic place to stay in the Syunik region of Armenia. Sona and Vahagn are great hosts, making you feel at home from the start. I stayed there for four nights, enjoyed the wonderful view, the delicious homegrown foods and some good Armenian wine. And when you stay there, don’t forget to wander off to the town of Bekh and the mystical forest beyond, with some very interesting hiking trails.

They were so nice and helpful! Food was on point and they speak amazing English! They will also organize cheap transport to Kapan and helped me find a shared taxi. Thank you again for all the help!

A spacious tent, spectacular views over Kapan and surrounding mountains, wifi, and a possibility to buy a bottle of wine. What else to wish? Sona and Vahagn are the greatest hosts. Thanks to them the stay became a highlight of my Legends Trail hike. This place is such a hidden gem! If you're looking for a place to spend a night, go and give them a call. You won't regret it.
