Luanda Airport (LAD)

Good Airport.
Free wifi, a supermarket (Spar) and duty free shop with good prices and products. The area where the Spar supermarket and a cafeteria are located also have comfortable places to sit and charge your phone. There are also multiple other cafeterias and souvenir shops at the airport.
Staff were professional and friendly and the security check went very quickly.

All in all a good experience.
The only thing that could be improved is that there was no soap to wash your hands at the toilets and that also the toilet paper should be refilled more often, because sometimes there was nothing.

Good ambience. And smooth working of key arrivals and departures for people. Portuguese is the only official language, however some speak English as well.

I would advise all to open and use Google Language translator when u arrive in Luanda, Angola

Don’t keep your $s visible to security check. If possible tell them that your are coming from offshore. You can’t compare Luanda airport with Dubai or Singapore, but it’s good for its standard or commuter rush. Some reasonable waiting areas, not so nice food and terrible security checks. While arriving at airport it is all nice, neat, Clean and quick.

I have been in 6 countries in Africa including Angola . What strikes me first the politness and harassment of staff in every airport . In Luanda ( Angola ) it feels so perfect . In different countries I have been they will harass you like a criminal. Even carrying your drone or laptop is a big issues, I am not even mentioning the over asking for money like they don't get paid .

However small it is a lot has been done to make traveling seamless. A quick test have been introduced which every passenger has to do on arrival which is a good thing as the country (Angola) takes the fight against Corona Virus very serious. it was very organized. Good Job

Professionalism, polite and experienced staff for first class service

The feeling you get when on a airport is priceless. Alongside the airport, there are restaurants and a view to the planes. Well organized and clean, great stuff, good job!
