Very nice rooms, spacious and clean. The service was competent and friendly. Only the poor could be bigger and treated with less chloride. The restaurant could put more vegetarian near to the menu. However, really enjoyed my stay!

Really impressed with the Hotel and Staff at Alvalade.
The staff are friendly and professional.
The rooms are clean and well taken care of.
On sight facilities are well maintained.
Would recommend this Hotel for anybody visiting Luanda.
The only suggestion I have is to have a booklet in the rooms with the services that are offered at the hotel. (Spa/Gym etc) as well as transport services available in Luanda and restaurants/shopping etc.

Everything was in order upon my arrival after a very long trip. The room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant was excellent. Definitely a "home away from home". Obrigado!!

I enjoyed my short stay in the hotel and its all because of the staff. All have been very warm and welcoming and went out of their way to accommodate my request. As they did not have an iron and ironing board in the room, they agreed on expediting the service to 30 mins just as so I may leave with well pressed uniform on time. All has been kind and helpful. I am definitely excited to return.

Although the facilities are a bit old, it is still a good hotel in Luanda, especially for those who need to be centrally located for travelling around Luanda city and its surroundings. A good restaurant completes the picture.

I was pleasantly impressed right from the entrance and through the check-in process which was very smooth. And on my special day, I was treated to a surprise by the Hotel Alvalade; such is an event that remain entrenched in one's long-term memory. Thank you, Hotel Alvalade!

Rooms are very old. Ambience not that good. Stayed there for 2 and half days but no room cleaning was done once i checked in. Did inform the staff but no response.

I stayed here for close to two weeks and I enjoyed my stay, I can recommend this hotel if you have the money to pay.

I absolutely enjoyed my stay at the hotel. At my arrival the receptionist was friendly and very helpfull towards a taxi and a wake up call I needed for the following morning! My luggage was kindly delivered to my room and I really appreciated, since I was in no state of caring it anymore! The suite was super spacious, quiet and with a very comfortable bed... I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great hotel in Luanda. Staff are great and go out of their way to make your stay from arrival to departure a memorable experience.
Great pool with outside bar and place to eat.
The dining hall offers great meals with a large selection to choose from.
Meals are also served at the bar on the ground floor.

Alvalade Hotel is extremely comfortable, older Hotel now but well made.
Close to all amenities, Kero next door, Airport 10 minutes away.Internet is reliable and no problem to stream etc.Staff are very pleasant and nice.
Breakfast is great..I really have nothing bad to say here.I have been in the Hotel for 6 months straight was here also back in 2005 or 6 it's well built and as I said initially very comfortable. You cannot go wrong if you decide to stay here.

Professional service, good staff and a clean hotel. All you can expect from a good hotel , Rooms Proper and Good. Very Good WiFi Covert; The Hotel is located in a quiet area. The staff is friendly and the service was attentive, Most employees speak enough English. Recommended for groups of friends.

I had a nice stay here at the hotel, the bar, the room and the swimming pool area + bar was perfect. Everyone was very helpful and went on extra lengths to ensure everything is good for us and very understanding for the situations.

Very good room and service. Nice staff to help and to answer all questions asked.Small balcony is just great to go outside to breath with the fresh air. Very good food/meals served in the restaurant.

The service was excellent and the room was great. Only downside was that you don't accept the American Express credit card. As this is the one that we use for our company travels, it was a bit cumbersome. In the end your receptionist handled this.

I always enjoy stay at your hotel. The people and food fantastic. THANK YOU!!!!!

However the Internet connection in Rooms are very unstable. Internet connectivity is KEY for us Expats; but this service goes on and off all the time inside the rooms. More powerful WIFI routers and speed are required to strength the signal and have more stable internet connectivity service.

On the other hand I use the gym and its time to upgrade some of your cardio machines...mainly the treadmills. I might suggest also bigger space for gym.

A sauna/steam room service would be perfect for the Hotel as well

it felt good to be back there after almost 3 years, the place never disappoint and their staff is always eager to assist and 1 thing for sure they don't forget a face. they made me feel at home. i just love Alvalade. this covid is really depriving us of good times.

It was a very good stay, the food and the room service was great, the reception were able to pick up the phone at any time for any support.
I congratulate the way I was cared during this stay. The food is the main base for health and it was always on time and hot.

I would like to add some note for improvement, I know quality requires more attention but save money to any company or organisation which looks to be part of improvement in terms of Lean six sigma or only Lean which is based on the improvement of the services and products giving all added Value and reduce the lost.

It is stabilised only by applying the Sigma Principle (DMAIC) Define, Measure, Analyse, Improve and Control the activities.
The key to Improve need another tool called (PDCA) Pan, Do, Check and analyse. The action to do the work,
needs; Education and training. Thus will complete the 1st phase of of Quality steps which minimise the lost
The losses can be controlled by using (SPC), Statistic Processes Control, and record it in a note book, ar computer based design (Lap top or Deck Top).

The main losses I found while in the hotels are:

1st: Break Fast
a) Excessive of food - Lot off food was going to the bin because of: I don´t eat Eggs which is not well boiled or half fried. Voice of Customer was missing. it is a quality improvement process which gives benefit to Company.
b) Hotel meets the costumer requirement by providing food, but Lean manufacturing says: We have to take care of the non added to avoid waste. It is done by providing to customer what he need based on the availability.

2nd: Recommendations
a) All instructions given to reception they were taken into consideration (100%) efficient.
b) All instructions given to room service, were covered 75% as most of the time. it may be due to dealing off with lot off rooms. Nevertheless, most of the case Hotel is the one which lose due to over supply. To minimise this, people must be well trained by providing them clear info regarding Voice of the customer and register it in a dedicated document (Computer, note, etc).

3- Introduction to Clients.
a) Try to improve in general information such as: Filling the form for laundry. In my case I new there should be two pieces of clothes day, but non info above for feeling was passed and did not where to find it.

After 5 days i was informed by asking the room services.

Havia um formulário de preenchimento de roupa e eu não sabia. Só depois de 5 dias dei por conta que par mandar a roupa na lavandaria eu tinha que preencher o dormulario, mas esta explicação foi me dada num momento não adequado (depois de 5 dias) quando notei que falatava algo.

4- General Notes:
The staying was good and the service in general was perfect, just the summary above for improvement on company saving to take some care mainly in food aspect.
