Perhaps one of the best guest houses we’ve stayed at, Pension Kitty offers that high quality yet very personable service one usually gets from a boutique accommodation.

From the warm welcome to the excellent homemade breakfast to the ultra clean rooms and comfy bedding, one cannot ask for anything else except perhaps to book an additional night to enjoy more what this gem of a guest house can give.

Location is an 8-10 minute walk from the train station.

Wouldn’t hesitate to book again if returning to Pörtschach.

Pension Kitty is all the best that you can expect from a bed and breakfast! Run by a lovely Dutch family, it will make you feel like you are in the home of your friends. It is located in a quiet area, but at walking distance from the center with restaurants and bars. Six stars to the homemade breakfast! See you again!! 🙂

Even if the story begins in 2021, Barry and Sigrid have managed to transform this guesthouse from an ordinary one into one where you can feel at home in a very short time.
The guesthouse is located in a green, quiet area with easy access to the city's sights. The courtyard is superbly arranged with places where you can drink your coffee or even have breakfast.
Breakfast includes many things made at home by Sigrid, here I can mention the yogurt, black bread, banana bread, smoothie, apple pie, cake etc etc.
In addition to all this, both in the room and in the dining area, there is coffee whenever you need it, at the same time you can find fruits taken from the locals, the apples are delicious... all this is offered for free.
There is a free parking space which is a big plus, also in the vicinity you have easy access to public transport. The room I stayed in had a view of the inner courtyard with a balcony where you can enjoy a drink in peace. The room facilities are exactly what you need and I am sure that in no time Barry will transform these rooms in the most beautiful way.

W had a very nice stay at Pension Kitty. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast is very good and we even got offered a really tasty dinner after a beautiful bike ride around the Woerthersee. Thank you so much for being such gracious hosts. We felt like we were members of the family.

Clean and pretty room, comfortable bed, very friendly host. The breakfast was honestly 10/10 so many yummy food to choose from! We really liked our stay and felt like we were at a family's home really. :)

My holiday stay was fantastic! The pension and garden are very cosy during Christmas. So many nice lights and details. The Christmas markets in Portschach and neighbouring towns are cute. Special thanks to Barry for the amazing long breakfast. I just couldn't get myself to leave the breakfast room :).

Fabulous place to stay longterm and shortterm. We stayed in the family room, which is ideal with two kids. The owners are very welcoming and do everything they can to ensure a great stay. The coffee and homemade bread and yogurt for breakfast are delicious.
The garden is colorful and has several areas to sit and relax. The newly made hottub is so nice after a day of hiking and cycling activities.
The location is very central. It's just a short walk to the lake or up the hill to the forest hiking trails. There's a lot of cycling paths and we parked and charged our ebikes in the shed.
Highly recommended accommodation.

Amazing place to stay. Hosts are very welcoming and homely. We had a BBQ at the last minute and nothing was an issue. They organized us all the utensils and assisted with the fire.

Only downfall - not on the water but free bicycles are supplied to access the lake road which is around the corner. The bedding is a bit dated but very clean rooms.

We absolutely loved our stay here. This is a lovely, quaint, and quiet. Nick and Emma area very professional and do whatever they can to take care of your needs. They are good people and very nice. The location is near the train station and the gorgeous Worther See is only a few minutes away...I highly recommend the lake boat ride. There are lots of things to see and do in this region.

Sehr nette kleine Frühstückspension. Die Zimmer sind mit Kaffeemaschine und Wasserkocher ausgestattet. Kaffeekapseln und Tee ist ebenfalls am Zimmer. Das Frühstück ist mit Abstand das Beste, das wir jemals in dieser Kategorie hatten. Die Inhaber sind sehr freundlich und immer bemüht Wünsche zu erfüllen oder dass die Gäste sich wohlfühlen. Trotz vorbeiführender Eisenbahnlinie ist es nicht laut.

Wir haben zwei Tage im Haus Kitty verbracht und es sehr genossen. Es ist perfekt, wenn man mit dem Zug anreist, da die Pension nur 8 Minuten Gehweg entfernt ist. Wir durften uns Fahrräder ausleihen und konnten damit zu einem sehr schönen öffentlichen Strandzugang fahren. Das außerordentlichste allerdings an dieser Pension sind die zwei Gastgeber*innen, die mit vollem Herzen ein Gefühl des Wilkommenseins vermitteln. So ist das Frühstück das tollste, das man sich vorstellen kann. Frischkäse vom Bauernhof, selbst gemachtes Joghurt, selbst gebackenes Brot, frisches Obst, frisch gepresster Orangensaft, täglich wechselnde Smoothies und holländische Schokostreusel lassen hier einen Urlaubstag beginnen, der nur erholsam sein kann. Die Zimmer und das gesamte Haus sind sehr ordentlich und sauber, wie auch der Garten, den man mit benutzen kann. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. „Ein Bett findet man überall, aber es sind die Details, die diese Unterkunft ausmachen.“Vielen Dank!

Wir waren 2 1/2 Wochen hier und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Gastgeber sind sehr nett, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück ist sehr vielseitig mit tollem Kaffee, selbstgemachten Smoothies, Kuchen und Joghurt. Täglich wird auch neben Brötchen ein selbstgemachtes, holländisches Brot serviert. Der Wörthersee ist in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar und der nahegelegene Bahnhof ist ideal für weitere Ausflüge.
Wir können Pension Kitty nur wärmstens empfehlen!

Eine sehr schöne Pension die Zentral liegt. Die Gastgeber sind sehr Familien freundlich, aufmerksam und erfüllen alle Wünsche :-). Das Frühstück ist so lecker, es gibt täglich frisches Obst aus der Region vom Bauer, selbst gemachtes Brot, Kuchen & sehr lecker Smoothies. Wir waren mit unsere kleinen Tochter dort und es war so schön. Schön ist auch der große Garten.

4 wundervolle Tage hier verbracht, besser geht nicht! Frühstück vieles selbstgemacht, sehr gut! Familienzimmer perfekt! Lage zentral, Service sehr aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Man merkt das die Familie diese Pension mit ganzem Herzen führt. Kommen sehr gern wieder. Danke für Alles!
