Restaurant Sonnengartl

We are on holiday in Ramsau and a local lady recommended this restaurant to us. We arrived one Tuesday evening and almost every table was booked (I think there was a carnival day or event happening) so the staff weren’t sure if they could fit 5 of us in, but they made room for us before one of the other reservations as we were early enough to finish before they arrived. The staff were really nice, and the restaurant was beautifully clean and cosy. The menu was great with lots of choices, and all of the food we ordered was excellent, tasty, well cooked and generous portions. We would definitely recommend eating here for anyone staying nearby, but do take plenty of cash, as they don’t accept card, so we had to do a dash to the cashpoint.

Good food with fast service. Great friendly staff. All on the river bank. What else could you want? Worth mentioning it was open on Monday!

Visited 4 out of 7 days on our trip to Hippach. Great reception and friendly service, delicious food in great portions. Austrian favourites with Italian options.
German, Polish, Croatian and English languages all well spoken.
Highly recommend.

Visited this place twice on our trip. Food was great. Good selection of austrian home cooked food, italian pasta dishes and much more. They also do lots of really great pizzas. What really made it for us though were the staff. Dori in particular made us want to go back there. Highly recommended and VERY reasonably priced.

Love this uber friendly restaurant. All the staff are great but Dori was our favourite. This is our second visit within 24hrs which I think is the best endorsement. Would recommend the soup (we had them all) and the spaghetti.

Good food! The service is so good. We were 6 days in Zell but we drove 3 times to eat here. Nothing but 5 stars!

Food is great and affordable. Location right next to the river is also beautiful. Smoking is allowed on the terrace so keep that in mind if you have health issues. Best to bring cash, as paying by card is really expensive for the owner.

Lovely local restaurant with plenty of choice, all the dishes are flavoursome and generous, the staff are welcoming and check up frequently, main courses I recommend are the carbonara and the champignonschnitzel, and definitely the Käsesahnetorte of you have a sweet tooth 😋 oh and don’t forget the glühwein 🍷

Great food and friendly staff. We went there for a quick dinner after skiing - easy parking, close to the slopes and very nice atmosphere. Make sure you reserve a table before hand. Thanks for a nice dinner!

We had garlic soup, kasspaetzle, tagliatelle, lasagna. They were all so delicious. The waitress was so kind and friendly. We highly recommend.

A wonderful, friendly restaurant, we ate here twice, both meals were delicious. We received a warm welcome and loved every aspect of our visit. Reasonably priced and a lovely atmosphere.

Cosy restaurant, big terrace, garden with playground for children. Very nice owners. Good food at reasonable prices while some restaurants in the area are too expensive.

Nice terrace in the sun with a friendly staff and really good food. Great pizza's, ice cream meat dishes and I really recommend the jägertoast if you're having lunch.
