DER WALZL

We stayed at this charming, dog-friendly inn for 6 nights in early May and our stay was nothing short of amazing. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a very pleasant rain shower and a nice balcony with view on the mountains. The wonderful and brand new rooftop relaxation area, with infinity pool and bio sauna, was the perfect way to wrap up the day after hiking in the countless surrounding trails. Very welcoming and friendly staff and cherry on the cake the house restaurant, offering local cuisine dishes of top quality. Highly recommended.

Great Rooms, generous amenities, amazing pool at the top and great Restaurants with superb food. You can feel that the owners have pride in their business. The Breakfast is better or can compare with 5 Star Hotels, we were very impressed and will definitely be back if were in the area.

Amazing location, we rented the apartment suite for 4 people. Breakfast was delicious. The staff was helpful and patient with me due to language barrier and did communicate with me in English. Family friendly location. Pool was amazing and scenic. Very relaxing. Can take a bus to Patscherkofel
Gondola, close by. We did the trail up there and relaxed by the pool in the afternoon.

Stopped by for dinner. Lovey traditional Austrian place, very nice attentive staff, had wonderful Schlutzkrapfen. Will stop again!

Der Walzl is easily reached from Innsbruck Hbf via a 20 minute bus ride. We stayed there for two nights and we absolutely loved it. The breakfast was wonderful with a wide selection of fruit, bread, cheese, charcuteries, yoghurts, and beverages.

I’ve never felt as relaxed in a relaxation area as I did in Der Walzl’s one. We had the rooftop pool (with a stunning view of the mountains) entirely to ourselves in the middle of the day (2-4 pm).

The staff was really accommodating and provided us with a two day buss pass free of charge so we could easily get to the Patscherkofel cable car station and to the Innsbruck train station the day we were leaving.

If you eat dinner at Der Walzl, I would recommend that you choose from their seasonal menu. The venison we had the first night was amazing. The courses we tried from their standard menu was tasty enough, but nothing out of the ordinary.

The room was great with a beautiful view of the Patscherkofel mountain top from the balcony. My only complaint would be that there was no AC in the room, and as the temperature surpassed 30 degrees Celsius during the days we stayed at the hotel, the room got really hot during the nights.

If I ever revisit Innsbruck I will definitely be staying at Der Walzl again.

It is a very nice hotel in a very beautiful area around Innsbruck. I loved everything about this hotel except not too much comfortable beds. The food is very tasty. The personnel are really friendly. The pool and the view from the pool is amazing. I would definitely stay here again :)

Mid-to upper scale restaurant with excellent service. Try to get a table in the rustic Jaegerstube with the trophies on the wall. Other dining rooms are tastefully modern renovated. Often seasonal game and venison are offered. Reservation might be a good idea.

The room I had was a large king with shower room and balcony, TV, radio. The whole place was very clean and all staff were super helpful (they got me stamps for my postcards) Amazing atmosphere throughout , and the infinity pool on the roof was 100% worth dipping into, great menu but I didn't have dinner in, but the breakfast was able to cater for all tastes.... From cereals, meats and cheese, omlettes and fry up, yoghurt and fresh fruits and breads.... I will most definitely be revisiting on my next trip

Amazing experience. Thoughtful and nice staff. Comfy room. Especially there are a nice playground outside, a playroom inside and a roof spa infinite pool with breathtaking view. Overall Super kid friendly.

Great food (I can really recommend the wiener schnitzel) and a perfect little playground for the kids to enjoy. You can choose to sit inside or outside in their garden which is nice. The staff was really friendly and accommodating. Would really recommend it.

Comfortable beds, modern beautiful rooms, great dinner and restaurant. Very close to Igls where you can get a lift up into the mountains. Good free WiFi. A steal for the price of the room
