Wauw. We accidentally passed Haus Hirt during one of the hikes and were amazed by the beauty and quality of this Spa Hotel. Had lunch and really enjoyed the amazing food they served. Most certainly coming back for a longer stay with the family!

Haus Hirt is definitely one of the most unique hotels in Bad Gastein.
First of all, its atmosphere and decoration just make the whole place so cozy. The setting of the hotel just offers one of the nicest and most stunning views from The Valley. One could spend the whole morning, afternoon or evening sitting at the restaurant with a nice glass of wine and looking at the grandiosity of the mountains and The Valley.

The owner herself is considered and likes to know all of their guests, which makes the whole concept even better. You feel as if you would had been going to the hotel since years ago. It feels like a second home since the first moment.

The quality, the offer and the amount of food is also just outstanding. Every evening there are three options on the menu to choose from. One from those meet eaters, one with fish and one vegetation. However, if you also have any kind of intolerance, you’ll be really well taken care of there. The breakfast is also rich and varied. Options of cold and warm food can be eaten.

Finally, the whole plane developed weekly for the guests with excursions, activities and also options to relax is worth mentioning.

All in all, amazing place and like no other. Highly recommended if visiting Bad Gastein.

It was with some trepidation that, after a couple of years of COVID-related disruption, my family and I booked a week at Haus Hirt, particularly as our limited hospitality experiences in Austria have been mixed. Happily, Haus Hirt exceeded all our expectations. It's wonderfully located, comfortable, visually interesting, serves good food and the child care strikes a wonderful balance, both encouraging independence and providing inspiring adventures. The staff are engaging and interesting and their enthusiasm more than compensates for some of the (minor) rough edges.

The Gastein valley is stunning and Haus Hirt is a wonderful base to explore from.

We stayed in the apartments linked to the Hotel. Very nicely decorated with a beautiful view on the valley. It offered everything one can need to have a pleasant stay.
The restaurant of the hotel is also recommended. It is very stylish interior. The serve modern Austrian kitchen.

My husband and I stayed here for one night on our honeymoon and wish we could have stayed longer! First, the view from the dining room is breathtaking. The staff were very friendly and helpful (and patient with our lack of German). Upon arrival we were greeted with a glass of Prosecco and enjoyed the lunch buffet. Then we were taken to our room, which was an upgrade to what we reserved. We stayed in a 2 floor suite - the bed was very comfortable and the room very clean and nice. We enjoyed the pool with panorama alpine view and took advantage of the Aveda massage service. So relaxing and wonderful! The food at all meals was delicious as well. Would definitely recommend visiting!

Excellent hotel to stay with young kids (0 to 12). Lovely rooms and great food. Excellent staff that is happy & equiped to deal with children. Situated along a walking path along the forest populated with squirrels well-acquainted with humans and into the town of Bad Gastein. Hotel has a daycare (ages 3 and up), a spa, two guided walks each day (one for families and one for adults) and an extensive list of cocktails. Would definitely recommend for young families.

Fabulous! Haus Hirt is a special place full stop (and with stunning views), but I would particularly recommend it to young families. The hotel specialises in making holidays with young kids as relaxed, happy and comfortable as they possibly could be. Particular mention to the excellent creche, which put on lots of fun and creative activities for our little one while allowing his parents to stretch their legs in the stunning Alpine surroundings. We hope to return!

Feels like visiting your friends‘ mountain hut, with good art, delicious food and heavelny SPA. Guests keep returning since years.

Lovely place to stay with (small) children. They offer a lot of things especially for children, like day care, kids restaurant, activities, ... But all within the feel of a cosy boutique hotel that is nice for the parents too. It'n named 'House Hirt', not Hotel Hirt, and that's just about right: they do everything to make you feel at home and the staff is extremely friendly and helpfull. Would definitely recommend staying here for families.

Our four night stay at Hous Hirt was just amazing. I cannot find a fault. It had the perfect mix of everything a young couple could want while travelling and then some extra. It accommodates families with children but it is also quiet enough so that you can relax. It also caters do animals, but we didn't see any while we were there :( The food was amazing and they are attentive to various diets. It's the first time a hotel is so considerate of vegetarians and vegans and I've been to a few, both for business and pleasure. We stayed in the room that overlooked the mountains and forests and just waking up to that beauty every morning recharged out batteries for the next half a year. The Spa is also really good. Imagine getting a facial or a massage and overlooking the Alps and luscious forests. The staff was so nice and even though we had some challenges with English (we don't speak German), everyone was trying their best and we understood each other perfectly. Even though sometimes it meant that we had to talk with our hands a bit. Thank you very much for a great stay and we will definitely come back!
