Waldhaus Rudolfshöhe is not exactly a hotel nor a restaurant. It is much more!
The fine touch of the owners can be seen anywhere, whether it's the carefully desinged rooms, cozy sitting corners, a romantic restaurant, where the breakfasts for the hotel guests are served, and pieces of vintage furniture and memorabilia which make this place so unique and pleasant to stay in.
The views of the Gastein valley are breathtaking, while the breakfasts are made from fresh products and taste great. The dinner which we tried on one of our nights was truly exquisite!
In other words, The Rudolfsöhe is a special place for those who want a vacation to remember for a while.
I would like to thank Stefan and Jan for a wonderful time and for taking care of each and every of our requests!

One practical tip for future guests: if you're planning to travel around, in Gastein valley and beyond, while staying at the Waldhaus Rudolfsöhe, having a car is a must, since the place is located somewhat far from the center of Bad Gastein.

If you want to come home then Rudolfshöhe is the best place to chill, chat, calm down. Stefan and Jan have created a beautiful place in Bad Gastein far away to not hear the noise of the city but close enough to enjoy the city center as well. A perfect starting point for mountain activities or simply find your way back to yourself. Jan is by the way a magnificent chef and the dinners are always a highlight 🖤

Lovely and quiet place where you can enjoy the beautiful view, superb food and nature. I would recommend to stay here at least for one day, you will stay longer then.
Great place to just lay in the garden hear the fountains and read a book. Let your trouble go away, there is peace and great food.

I went here with my family for an evening meal in the summer. The views over the mountains from our table were amazing! Really lovely food and great service. Recommended!

The place was unfortunately closed when I decided to hike my way up the mountain during off-season late winter.

I knocked on the door just to make sure and after a while a guy who resembled Tyler Durden from Fight Club opened the door.

Looking left and right as if he did not see me standing in front of him, he finally looked at me while lighting a cigarette.
I felt a bit awkward standing in the snow, trying to make sense of Google Maps on my phone. This guy looked way to cool and I half awaited a beating for trespassing.

All my fears were blown away as I started talking to the guy (in great English).
After talking for a minute or two I asked if there was a quicker way down the mountain and he nodded to what looked like the beginning of a trail covered in half a meter of snow.

- What shoes do you have?
I pointed at my shoes while trying to lift my leg out of the snow.
I had low hiking boots.
He shrugged.
- I wouldn't, but it's up to you. He said with a suddle smile.
In an attempt to match his personality I grined back, picked up my bag and headed straight for the snow covered path...

He was right of course.
I arrived at the feet of the mountain some time later with my snow in my boots and bruising on my hips.
But it was an adventure and an encounter I will always remember.

There could be no better place on earth for a short getaway. Lovely rooms, a wonderful garden and the best hosts you can imagine.

Jan & Stefan sind einfach die perfekten Gastgeber. Sie haben eine traumhafte Location, mit individuellen Zimmern und einem hervorragendem Frühstück, welches man bei gutem Wetter im zauberhaften Garten genießen kann. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder 👍🏼

Ein traumhafter Platz. Wir sind ohne Voranmeldung hingekommen und haben deshalb nur ein Getränk in der Abendsonne im Garten genossen. Bei der Urlaubsauswahl werden wir beim nächsten Österreich- Urlaub sicher an diese Unterkunft denken

Außergewöhnlicher Ort. Herzliche Gastgeber, man fühlt sich gleich zuhause. Tolle Lage, etwas außerhalb von Bad Gastein, man kann sofort loslaufen zu kleinen Wanderungen. Wunderschöner Garten, tolles Essen.

Tolle Location mit individuellem Styling. Einzigartiges Ambiente, tolle Terrasse und toller Garten, nette Gastgeber. Für Individualisten und Ruhesuchende der perfekte Ort.
Wir waren leider nur auf einen Kaffee und ein wunderbares Stück Apfelkuchen dort. Aber beim nächsten Besuch in Bad Gastein planen wir dort unterzukommen.

Das Waldhaus Rudolfshöhe ist ein Ort, an dem man so richtig entspannen und den überragenden, freundlichen und sehr persönlichen Service genießen kann. Die Zimmer sind sehr individuell und geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sehr geräumig. Das 3-Gänge Menü kaum zu überbieten und die Aussicht in das Gasteiner Tal ist grandios - kurz um, ein Ort, an dem man länger bleiben möchte.
Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Wir haben zusammen mit Freunden ein Wochenende an diesem wunderbaren Ort verbracht. Oberhalb von Bad Gastein gelegen mit einem fantastischen Ausblick ins Tal. Ein kleines aber feines Hotel, absolut ruhig gelegen. Garantiert Erholung. Die beiden Gastgeber Jan und Stefan haben ein Kleinod der Gastlichkeit geschaffen. Die Zimmer sind individuell und extravagant eingerichtet. Das 3 Gänge Menü am ersten Abend war außergewöhnlich und fantastisch.

Wir sind absolut begeistert von diesem wundervoll idyllisch gelegenen Hotel. Jedes der 4 Zimmer ist individuell und modern eingerichtet, hier kann man sich nur wohl fühlen. Die Gastgeber Jan und Stefan haben meinen Mann und mich unglaublich herzlich empfangen. Wir erleben hier ein paar Tage absolute Ruhe und Gastfreundschaft. Jeden Morgen genießen wir ein sensationelles Frühstück und am Abend das 4-Gänge-Menü inklusive frisch gebackenem Brot. Der Garten des Hotels Waldhaus Rudolfshöhe ist liebevoll geschmückt mit Lampignons und einer Diskokugel. Der Ausblick ist unbezahlbar – die Herzlichkeit von Jan und Stefan ebenfalls.

Einmaliges Erlebnis. Wir waren abends Essen (unbedingt vorher anrufen und reservieren, wenn man nicht im Hotel wohnt), die beiden Besitzer Jan und Stefan leben und lieben Ihre Arbeit, das merkt man an jeder Stelle. Die Hütte, in der das Überraschungs 3-Gänge-Menü serviert wird (vorher wird telefonisch angefragt, ob es Unverträglichkeiten etc. gibt), ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und erzeugt zusammen mit der Musik eine wunderbare Wohlfühl-Atmosphäre. Das Essen selbst war phantastisch, jeder Gang ein Highlight. Jan nimmt sich sehr viel Zeit für die Gäste und erklärt gerne die Gänge, jedoch ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Wer sich und seinem Partner etwas gönnen möchte, ist in dieser traumhaften Umgebung genau richtig. Noch ein Tipp: Das Waldhaus liegt auf einem kleinen Hügel, zu dem ein Feldweg führt. Google schickt einen zu früh den Hügel hoch, dann landet man vor einem Privathaus. Die Straße noch ca. 300 Meter weiter runterfahren, dann sieht man das Schild zum Waldhaus und kann hochfahren.
