Super nice, authentic Malaysian food.
Fried rice and Fried rice noodles were superb!
I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a visit before going to Hallstatt!

This was a surly find by my Malaysian wife while driving my Malaysian brother in law back to München from Hallstatt.
The food was very good and authentic. The sweet and sour pork was the most authentic we have found outside of Malaysia. The kway teow wouldn’t win any awards back in Malaysia, but it would definitely be in the competition. Again, best ever found outside Malaysia.
The service tried very hard, but on that night it was just one woman handling it all including take out orders. It seems to be a husband and wife team with the Malaysian husband in the kitchen cooking and the wife handling the front of the house.
If we didn’t live in München we would be there more frequently. But, may still make the two plus hour drive for a return visit.

Starters & soup were great, Fried rice & noodles were finger licking good and desert (banana loty) was amazing.
The Chef and wife (owners) are super sweet and are a delight.

Passed by this place by chance after a daytrip to Halstatt. Turned around and stopped for dinner there Taste of hone! Comfort food...

Wir hatten die Knusprige Ente Malaysia und das scharfe knusprige Rindfleisch. Beide waren außergewöhnlich gut!

Die Kellnerin war gut gelaunt, sehr schnell und freundlich. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wat een leuke en lekkere restaurants. Waren met 10 pers, was geen probleem. De vriendelijke eigenaresse heten ons welkom de kwaliteit en het eten was super vers en veel en ook niet lang wachten. Alles vers gemaakt. Zelf voor onze dochter die niet veel lust zat er wat bij. Het is dat wij niet uit de buurt komen anders wist ik het wel.
Een grote fam uit Nederland. 🤟

Ich hole regelmäßig essen ab und esse auch gerne im Lokal. Wirklich sehr lecker und die Portionen sind auch ausreichend und nach 20 Minuten Fahrt nach Golling immer noch heiß. 👍👍

Ich bin sehr positiv überrascht vom Malaysia Restaurant. Bin seit kurzem in Abtenau und bin jetzt echt froh das ich hier hin gehen kann. Top Essen und Top Service. Echt weiter zu empfehlen.

We komen/halen hier regelmatig sinds we in Abtenau zijn gaan wonen. Heerlijk Thais of Chinees eten. Zo veel lekkerder als de Nederlandse Chinees-Indische restaurants. Afhalen ook mogelijk. Eigenaar en zijn vrouw koken zelf en zijn zeer vriendelijk.
