Christie's Kitchen

We ate here while on our way home (Netherlands). We were very kindly welcomed by the owner! She indicated that she made homemade lemonade and my friend and I wanted to try this. This was really super tasty! Highly recommended 😊. We wanted to try 2 dishes and she suggested a kind of rice table. Super sweet that she thinks about this. Food was delicious! We talked a lot with her and Christie was very interested. Even received a free dessert from her and since we still had to travel for 10 hours, we also got 2 cans of drinks along the way. We thought this was so thoughtful! Really a super place!

This is definitely one of the tastiest, most atmospheric places in all of Salzkammergut. Homemade Thai cuisine without MSG and other chemical additives will satisfy any palate. Everything delicious, fresh and in good spirit. You must come here !

The environment is cozy and chill, staff is nice and super friendly, food quality is high and the portion is HUGE in a nice way.

After a good research through the main food websites reviews, we decided to give a try to Christie's restaurant. Even though the restaurant is rather small, it is pretty cozy and clean.
The menu offers are changed in a weekly basis, and the prices are reasonable. Within our choices, the food was fresh and very tasty! I felt like having dinner in Thailand.
If that would not be enough, after we paid, the chef and owner asked us for feedback and gave us a Tiramisu to eat is back in our Hotel!
Very recomendable place if you pass by the zone or if you live nearby! I will come back for sure!

If you wanna change for your taste buds, head over to Christie's. Am born and brought up in SE Asia and her food is good and delicious. Made me miss home a bit. And they have chillies that are actually spicy :) yoohoo 🥳

Best Asian food in upper Austria 🇦🇹

Christie’s kitchen is run bij a amazing chef. She did everything without compromising on quality. Loved the food.

Very surprised with this place! The restaurant is in a small quiet town but quality of the food was fine bistro-like. Pad thai and fried rice is great but if you want to taste the owner's unique touch, try the 'weekly menu'😀

We were there 2 weeks ago, driving from Germany late night, suuuuper hungry and just stumbled upon the restaurant cos the other famous big restaurant was apparently closed (Google said open until midnight!😒)
And what a happy surprise this place was!🤩

Christie asked us how hungry we were and made our portions bigger and even recommended visiting Hallstatt on our way back and gave best restaurant recommendations there…A warm, friendly host she is!

Christie is an amazing and helpful owner, she made us some delicious Pad Thai even late in the evening! Also received plenty of travel tips for our weekend in Austria. We will certainly come by any time we are close!

We had 3 different dishes and they all tasted great. The owner is friendly and aiming to please your stay at her place. Food definitely tastes better than usual asia restaurants. Place is small so book in advance.

Very good service and a cosy friendly atmosphere. Christie changed her ingredients slightly to our vegetarian requirements even though we entered late in the night and it tasted great. Her lemongrass drink is a must to try. She was also very helpful in recommending some places to visit nearby

The food is amazing and Christie is such a positive person. We had no reservation but she still found a little place for us that was perfect. She treated our son like a little angel and even gave him nice gifts. We had a chance to talk briefly and I would add 6 stars if I could. We will come back anytime when we’ll be around. If you like Asian food, don’t think twice and go here, you’ll be amazed.

What a great surprise! I just came there by chance on the way to Salzburg and I was in the mood for some Asian but not Chinese food and I was not disappointed at all! The service was excellent and friendly and the good experience was fulfilled with a great Pad Krapau, nice Singha Beer and topped with a coconut Tiramisu! Which I actually never got
before! I highly recommend this Asian cuisine diamond!

Need a change from the heavy delicious austrian food? Well here it is. Love this place, beautiful drive as well to get there from Salzburg. The owner and chef is from Indonesia, although her Vietnamese fried egg rolls were better than most I had in Vietnam or the USA. The chicken curry delicious. If you like spice, add the fresh chili's. Dumplings were just what I was craving and came with a lovely Cucumber salad. Best wine spritzer with her homemade Asian inspired syrup. Best spritzer I had in Austria. Thank you for an amazing meal, when I return I will definitely be seeing you again. Sorry there were no pictures, I devoured it too fast.

Wow. Some of the best (if not the best!) Asian food I have ever had the pleasure of eating. Sensationally good food and friendly service. This place is a gem, already looking forward to my next visit!
