Restaurant Talbachschenke Schladming

Great food and a meat-eaters delight in this traditional Austrian alpine restaurant. Visited twice and came out both times with a satisfying full belly with just a main course....which are very generous in their portions.

Amazing restaurant with great food, big portions and very nice and cosy atmosphere! Would recommend to anyone.

When I say this is some of the best food I have had in a long (!!!) time, I mean it! First of all, the atmosphere and coziness in Talbachschenke is amazing. It gives great Austrian vibes and you really get the feel of the fact that you are in a whole different culture that what you are used to. I had a steak with potatoes and an amazing sauce made from mushrooms. I also had some broccoli. It was incredible. The steak was perfectly cooked, the potatoes were soft but not too soft, the sauce was absolutely amazing and brought everything together. Note that this place is not cheap... It is however some of the best food you will ever get, and no doubt the best place in Schladming. No doubt. If you ever find yourself in Schladming, don't make the mistake by not eating here 'cause I promise you, tha you will regret it.

Great place to eat in Schladming!The atmosphere is very cozy and romantic.The service very polite and helpful.The food was great!We ordered steak that was really juicy ,soup with vegetables,snitzel, jacked potatoes and pork.Everything tasteful! We visit this restaurant again for sure!

Delicious meat and side dishes in a cozy/traditional setting but a noisy table beside had a little bit worsen the experience (bad luck!)

Super urig und gemütlich!
Wir waren zum Urlaub in Schladming und haben etwas später abends noch nach einem Restaurant gesucht, was nach 20 Uhr noch essen serviert 😀
Und wir sind fündig geworden. Die Talbachschenke hat sowohl einen Außen- wie auch einen Innenbereich, wo man sehr gemütliches und ursprüngliches Flair genießen kann.

Das Essen war ausgezeichnet, ich war sehr zufrieden mit allem. Auch die Bedienung war super nett und zuvorkommend.

Ich kann dieses Restaurant von ganzem Herzen empfehlen.

Große Berghütte mit einem großer Raum. Da gibt es atmosphärisch schönere Hütten. Aber Bedienung und Essen sind Top. Außerdem liegt das Restaurant neben der Dachsteingondel und ist als Ausgangspunkt oder Abschluss einen Besuch wert.
