Cafe Pension Alpina

My wife and I were staying about 100 yards from the Cafe Pension Alpina in August 2018 to attend a wedding on Innsbruck. We thoroughly enjoyed nearly every meal we could at the Cafe. We loved the food, view and wonderful people who served us attentively.
I am pleased to see it is still doing well.

I did not stay but while going up the mountain I stopped for cake, I am a tourist and I must say this sort of local spot is so much better than touristy spots like Demel, the cream cheese cake and sacher cake are unbelievable, all homemade, and all this while a 2 minute walk from a great view and nearby a ski lift to get to an even better view, outstanding place

We stayed overnight here. Clean room, with a top floor view to the mountains. Restaurant & bar downstairs well priced, traditional food. Breakfast included in the morning nice inclusion. The lift up the mountain is adjacent.

The restaurant is excellent with great schnitzel and beer. Well worth a stop on the funicular and gondola even if you aren’t staying overnight. The view from their patio is awesome, too.

Friendly small accommodation nearby Innsbruck. We love to use it, when traveling to Italian Alps. Short stop to rest one night. Nice, clean and good care. Only small objections is glass divider between room and bathroom with toilet. Some friends do not get it.

Very nice, good location, friendly and kind staff and nice rooms overlooking the valley. Breakfast was plentiful and very tasty! thank you!

Great place for the hiking or the first time travellers! Staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and speaks great english. Right next door is great hiking and the resturant downstairs serves simple food and great strudel. From the main train station just head up th "J" line and its 100m to the front door!

The food was great, excellent and friendly service with a great view and clean restrooms.

They help people and the food is great and people are great and I hope that I can visit them again next vacation

Great place to stop for a break. Literally next door to the cable car and a 1 minute walk from the view overlooking the city.

Very friendly staff, great cheesecake and reasonably priced.

Nice restaurant directly at the Nordkette station. Service was good and freundly. We ate gulasch and drank some local beer, both of them were perfect. The strudel was not my type, but it was fresh and tasty too. We will surely return after wandering again to Hungerburg.

Very small and cozy room.. A very basic amenities are there.. But the location is very nice right infrent of the nordkette cable car very easy to go to the seegrube .there is a bus station outside the hotel.. But hard to get into the hotel at night by bus bcoz its on top means hill station far from the city

We stayed here two nights visiting Insbruck and it is a good hotel. Clean rooms and Nice bathroom. Direct next tot the cableway that brings you tonan astonishing view over Insbruck and the mountains. Its worth buying the Insbruck card what gives acces to all sites and public transport.

Has a beer and soup here after taking the cable car up the mountain. Great food and scenery!!

Exactly what we were expecting. Up out of the city, nice accommodations and clean. Friendly staff. Easy access to everything

Really cool place for lunch or dinner, very nice stuff, local music and ability to sit in the sun. What do you need more?

I have been there in April. .. During a rainy and cloudy day.. . Has the best view of Nordkette hill.. It was beautiful to just sit there and enjoy the view.

Had a great lunch here with very good service. Xxx
