In June 2024 the kitchen served food Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday evenings only. The bar opened at other times, so you can see why there is some confusion over hours when open. But we Englishmen visited here a few times armed with our poor grasp of German. What lovely people they were. Could not have been friendlier. Locals were welcoming who sat at bar with us. Inexpensive drinks. Food ample proportions.

A very nice and calm place, we've eaten very delicious food here, and the prices were not as high as in the city center. The staff is very friendly, and even if none of the 2 waitresses could speak English, they easily understood what we have wanted to say. The waiting time for your meal is approx 25 minutes, wich I think is worth the waiting. Also, the terrace chairs were surprisingly comfortable aswell.

Awesome. Perfect relaxed atmosphere for a family meal. The staff were friendly and welcoming (despite us not speaking German) and the meals were simple food done well (rustic and generous).

Very traditional Austrian food, and delicious. Locals eat there which is a good sign and the staff are delightful and fun. Old (1950’s) jukebox to get the vibe going and everyone has a good time, after a few drinks and shots. Hoping to go back…

Traditional Austrian restoran, with mainly local guests. But, if you are not familiar with German language it would be hard to understand with waitress.
The food was fantastic and cheap comparing to other restaurants in Schladming. Apfelstrudel only 3€, but the most delicious we taste. Also the biggest choice of traditional mealsin Schladming.

LOVE this restaurant. Very homey and cosy. Very kind and personable grandmother served us and the food was delicious! We are definitely going again before we leave.

Very local place. Do not expect higher class restaurant, you will get a proper Austrian food in a very friendly and authentic atmosphere.

I prefer this place for dining out when in Schladming. Basically no tourists, mostly local (austrian) food selection for very reasonable prices. Relatively fast service and friendly staff. Can only recommend.

Rodinná atmosféra. Pán vaří a paní obsluhuje. Je to stranou a byli tam jen místní a ne turisté. Dobře se nabité za velmi dobré ceny. Zařízení je už starší, ale to není pro mě rozhodující.

Wir waren auf die Empfehlung eines Schladminger Busfahrers zum Mittagessen und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Die Speisekarte ist klein, aber fein & die Qualität der Speisen ist SUPER. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und auf Zack. Preislich wird sich in Schladming kein günstigeres Lokal finden. Zur Verdauung gab es auch noch a Schnapserl... :-) Wir kommen auf jeden Fall nochmal!!

Nachtrag: Wir waren nochmal beim Schatti und zwar diesmal zum Abendessen und alles wieder TOP.

Das Essen war einfach sensationell. Das Lokal abgelegen, die Küche aber zu empfehlen. Man ist herzlich willkommen. Der Chef zaubert in der Küche auch Sonderwünsche. Die Kellnerin ist einfach herzlich. Riesige Portionen. Richtig richtig lecker. Da hat man noch etwas auf dem Teller. Wir kommen sicher wieder😍. Danke für Alles und die guten Schnapserl🙃

Es war eine spontane Entscheidung in dieses Lokal zu gehen und die wahrscheinlich die Beste.
Der schönste Abend ever. Die Wirtsleute sind einfach Spitze, so wie man es sich wünscht. Gesellig und einfach menschlich. Kleine feine Speisekarte. Quer verkostet und alles hat gepasst. Das Highlight war dann der Wurlitzer, das Sahnehäubchen. Wir kommen auf jedenfall wieder. DANKE

Die Leberknödelsuppe war einfach ein Traum, leckerli wie sie sein muss. Man wird herzlichst empfangen. Der Chef Conni zaubert in der Küche. Die Dame, die uns empfangen und bewirtet hat, war unglaublich herzlich. Herzlichen Dank dafür. Ach ja geniale Marillenschnapserl gab es auch.💫

Der Gasthof Schattleitner in Schladming ist ein uriges Restaurant in der Nähe des Ortskerns. Die servierten traditionellen Speisen liegen geschmacklich auf hohem Niveau. Der schnelle, sehr höfliche Service ist in jedem Falle erwähnenswert. Auch wenn das Lokal nicht supermodern ist, so ist es doch extrem gemütlich. Sehr zu empfehlen. LG Tjf63
