A proof that a good architecture doesn't limit just to cities and lower altitude. This is a contemporary designed mountain hut with various services. We appreciated a professional waiter who was nice, fast, smiling and seemed to be happy to see all the people coming up there. This hut is a good point to go before and go after climbing Hoher Dachstein.

We spent a night here and it was a great experience! The kind lady explained everything and gave us many tips for climbing etc. After that we had some beers and dinner. It’s great that they serve food here as well for those spending the night. We had goulash and garlic soup, they also changed my desert since I am allergic to dairy which was very nice of them. Breakfast was bread with selection of marmelades, hams and cheeses. They offer rooms for 2 people or large rooms for 10 people. We slept in the big one and the beds were very comfortable, everything was clean. Note that you need to bring a sleeping bag if you’re planning to spend a night here.

Will deffinitely return here again when climbing via ferratas on dachstein :)

A new mountain hut that is setting new standards in style and quality in an incredible environment between Hallstätter glacier, Dachstein as the highest mountain from both province Styria and Upper Austria, and the famous Dachstein Südwand.
Care taking hosts and great menus.
Not only worth a dayvisit but as well an overnight stay.

Great surroundings of course. But also nicely newly refurbished. Limited selection of drinks and dishes, yet all very good and quite big portions to recharge your batteries. Well worth the trip.

From here you have a perfect view over Dachstein. The evening and early morning is spectacular for photography.
The cottage is new (built in 2018) and the host family is very friendly. The Wi-Fi is very good. It is well worth staying a night!

Beautiful view, quite pleasant walking from the cable car. I have never seen such a clean and white glacier before. An amazing experience especially in the summer:-)
