Izvir Save Dolinke

This is one of the two sources of river Sava, one of the most important river in the region. The curiosity is that the sources are not placed as usual, one close to another, but like a hundred kilometers away. This one gives the longer section of the river. Anyway the source is a small lake in Zelenci Nature Reserve, with crystal clear water and fish swimming freely. Observation decks are made around the lake and the surroundings with forest and Julian Alps are astonishing. The car can be parked few hundred meters away, along the road at the nice looking restaurant.

BREATHTAKING PLACE

Neither bad weather or heavy rain could have destroyed the beauty of this place!

I was passing by it, and on a friend’s suggest pulled over to see this place.
From the parking place next to the main road is 5 min walk trough forests to spring of Sava Dolinka. There is the gravel path but if it's raining it can be a bit muddy.
Spring looks magnificent! Water is so clear that you can see the bottom.
Stunning blue colour of it gives a contrast to dark forest and glorious mountains. It creates such a glorious landscape, that photo of it I would put on my desktop wallpaper.

If you are passing by, take a few minutes and visit it. You won't regret it.

This is where a very interesting and colourful journey begins (or ends) Follow Sava river all the way to Belgrade and Danube, see the places and cultures and how they change with the river. Everything South of Sava is the Balkans. Everything North is Central Europe.

Beautifal place!

Vedno, v vseh letnih časih je ta zeleni biser vreden ogleda. Če imate srečo, da ni veliko ljudi, se tu lahko naužijete miru in čudovitih odtenkov zelene barve z gorski panoramo Ponc v ozadju...

Izvir Save Dolinke, je nekaj najlepšega, kar si lahko ogledaš v Gornjesavski dolini.

Pohádkově krásné jezírko s průzračně čistou vodou. Na dně bublají malé "vulkány", což bylo také zajímavé.

Idiličen izvir s tolmuni le kratek sprehod stran od glavne ceste. Plus razgledni stolp...

Lažja pot tudi za otroke, brezplačno parkirišče od kar sem bila nazadnje. Hoja približno 10 min ali manj odvisno kako hitro hodiš.

Predivno mjesto, očaravajuće

Predivno, 3 min hoda od glavne ceste i kafića, a ima i kućica za vidikovac.

Jako lijepo uređena šetnica, a lijepo je i da ne naplaćuju.
