I had my first shopping experience here after 6 years of living out of Europe. I forgot to weight a banana 🙂 A sale assistant scanned my items and told me in German that I have to weight the banana.. I had no idea what she was saying in German, so she told me the same reminder in English and promptly solved the situation - ran down to veg section to scan the banana and brought it back for me 🙂

Nice place, clean and easy to access groceries and polite staff... The first mini-supermarket in Vienna-Austria l visited upon my entry into Austria. Hope to come back

Island in Austria

The Donauinsel is a long, narrow artificial island in central Vienna, Austria, lying between the Danube river and the parallel excavated channel Neue Donau. The island is 21.1 km in length, but is only 70–210 m wide. It was constructed from 1972 to 1988 primarily as a measure for flood protection. It has since become the most popular recreational area of the city. source
