Merchant 1948 Chadstone

Went shopping for shoes for my husband and found this store. A great range of good quality shoes at reasonable prices. Fantastic service from Phillip, who was very helpful and knowledgeable about the product. We will definitely be going back.

Awesome service, great range of both men's and women's shoes from formal to smart casual. Great attention to detail and the whole shopping experience was truly appreciated as I was looking for something very last minute. Special mention to Kate for her attention to detail.

I wish I knew the woman’s name who served me one afternoon but she was so friendly and knowledgeable I left with the perfect shoes and a huge smile.

I had been looking for more comfortable work shoes and had looked around Chadstone for hours, slowly running out of hope.

Not only did this woman find me shoes to perfectly fit my budget, she showed me insoles to help extend the life of my old shoes, solving 2 problems in one go.

She wasn’t ‘fake retail friendly either’, she just seemed authentically happy to help and genuinely friendly.

I’d never shopped at Merchant but this experience alone will make me stop here first before anywhere else in the future.

Had the pleasure of shopping here on 2/10/2023 and was impressed by the range quality of the shoes on offer. I particularly liked the Rembrandt leather shoes however my size was not in stock. At this point I would like to thank Megan for being so helpful. Not only did she arrange for me to pick up the shoes from a store close to my home, she also took the time to explain how to care for the leather. Great service Megan, thanks again.

Had the best service at merchant chadstone. The staff (Simon) were so patient while I was trying to decide on what sandal to buy, eventually went with Simon’s recommendation. So happy with my purchase, never worn a chunky sandal as having little feet, so so comfy sandal. Have been a long time purchaser of merchant shoes, can’t beat their quality and shoes last for years, so well worth the price. When you have great staff helping you in store it’s a win win.

Purchased two pairs of boots from Chadstone VIC ,which I had to return as they were too small ....my fault . I met Simon their Manager.What a great guy! I come from a major shoe manufacturing town in UK Kettering. Simons shoe knowledge is great...I am so happy to have exchanged my boots & I bought more shoes today as a direct result of Simon,s personality. I have been National Manager within Customer Service in Uk & Aus for over 30 years and Simon is amazing AND his knowledge of football (soccer) is ....well I could chat with him for hours. Russ

I was wedding shoe shopping today, solo with two energetic toddler boys. Emily was an absolute gem helping me find my size in a few heels, and Simon was a total legend and distracted my boys with coin ‘magic’ tricks, chatting and even showed them the shoe making tools. It was SUCH a big help, and I found the perfect heels for my wedding!

Hands down the best customer service I have experienced in a shoe store in a very long time!!!! I was served by Helen at Chadstone store who was very friendly helpful and honest. I was shocked when she checked the shoe fit my feet correctly. They just don’t do this anymore. In most shoe shops the shoes and simply given to you and the saleperson walks off! I even tried on a pair that weren’t the most flattering and Helen was quick to point out that they were not the right shape for my foot. She could easily have said nothing and made another sale but she was honest and I appreciated it. Her customer service is outstanding. The shoes are amazing !!!! I love the sneakers I bought so comfortable and they look great. Will definitely be a regular customer 😄😄😄

Fantastic staff members! They will go through the storage room or offer possible options if a style of shoe isn't in your size. They do offer shoe stretching instore if the shoe is a bit narrow for the length. I wish I could have walked out there with a shoe, but time constraints and a popular shoe size did not work in my favor.

Not just a shoe store! Simon and his team at Merchant, Chadstone offer a great service and show a real care for their customers, both before and after purchasing.

Adrian knows a lot about shoes and I really enjoyed listening to him; he literally walked me through the whole detailed process of making buffalo leather boots and that something I will remember for a very long time. Georgia did a fantastic job asking the right questions and recommending the right type of shoes based on my answers. Had a great customer experience and I’ll certainly go back

Been buying shoes from here for sometime now. Great quality and you can find style that matches all the occasion and different trends. They wont bombard you with thousands of choice. But the once provided are the best. The prices are reasonable and service is great. (if there are no other customers)

Bought myself some boots here today, lovely range of shoes and seem really nice quality compared to a lot of the other shops I looked at. However it’s the staff that really make this shop, beautiful people, so helpful and knowledgeable and just such a pleasure to talk to.
