King Jarrah Track

This Class 4 is an absolute must for those ready for 18.7km hike. There were so many beautiful moments of sun filtered tree topped, idyllic ferns floored surrounds . Beware the king Jarrah section is under construction and No King Jarrah was seen but consider this 18km of meditation , an absolute must. A certain section you must keep vigilant about keeping to the path, scenery is beautiful and could easily be distracted

Great place to visit especially after heavy Rains, August / September

Lush and green with flowing rivers and creek beds.

Great place to take your dog also

This is a Northern start point for the trail, there is also another to the South. If you start here be prepared for two steep climbs in the first quarter of the hike. After that it is relatively flat.

Directions:
Once you turn off Nanga Road take a left past the adventure camp continue past the Nanga Brook Campsite and keep a look out on the right for a sign on red posts. I was looking for the big wooden sign however that is on the Southern entry.

Great track!

Nice hike. Northern trail head starts in Lane Poole Reserve across from the camping areas. Keep an eye out for the relatively small sign. Recommend going anti-clockwise through the forest section first. Very enjoyable to just stop and listen to the forest sounds. Just one path provides access to the murray river on the eastern side.

Good hike, really enjoyed the first half of the trail heading into the forest, it gets a bit boring once it meets the unsealed track. Hardly get to see the river

Great walk and scenic track but poorly signed. Some areas will have signs every 10 meters, others every 2 kilometres. Some markers are in groups of 3 for three separate tracks, others are separated in two three different posts, even though the tracks have not yet diverged. Easy to begin to think you’ve come the wrong way on the long stretches with few signs.
