My complaints were ignored. Bunbury hospital left me on a two seater couch for nearly thirty hours denying me a phone call and fresh air then medicated me without giving an assessment first, hadsco refused to investigate. The medication forced upon me causes rapid changes in my blood pressure and dropped to a dangerously low levels. It causes dizziness, headaches, blackouts and hadsco refused to investigate the psychiatrists who call me a liar despite the evidence in my blood pressure history. This is what happens when you report government corruption. You end up getting injected and diagnosed with delusional disorder when you're telling the truth. The whole system is corrupt and serves the people who work there not the patients who attend. They also ignored my allegations about people with intellectual disabilities being mistreated by the disability services Commission and again don't take abuse seriously. The system serves the people who run it and not the people complaining.

Contacted office, lodged complaint. Phone call from them , followed by email. Email was complete fabrication/misleading. Advice whom to contact was wrong to take case fervour and statement I didn't want them to act is a fabrication ( note nice way say not truthful) Government agency employed to do nothing. Just agency to pretend they act to public best interests and your rights are looked after. Complete lie

I recently underwent a routine colonoscopy that was botched and left me bleeding out on the floor of my home waiting for an ambulance, I nearly died. After the hospital denied anything was wrong with that outcome and absolving themselves of any responsibility, the complaint was escalated to this organisation. I had some hope there might be some accountability for these people that nearly killed me.
Well, that was a pointless hope. After giving the hospital an extension of time to respond to the complaint, I got a call from the hospital. Apparently namedropping Alison Parr at Armadale hospital will see them try to not kill you or something, that was my takeaway from that phonecall. I got my biopsy results during that phone call (never confirmed in writing) four months after the procedure. I was very unhappy after that phonecall.
Well, once that phonecall had been made, these HADSCO jokers were adamant my complaint was done and that the matter was finalised, despite me raising numerous issues including verifiable dishonesty from the hospital.
But they didn't listen, they came to the conclusion that my complaint was dealt with and shut it down. Then they threatened me that I shouldn't talk about it with others.
Absolute heartless bureaucrats, these people are worse than useless, they shouldn't exist, they're simply sucking up taxpayer money and they do absolutely nothing.
For the record - there is no way to get accountability if a medical practitioner harms you during the procedure without taking legal action. Because I had no lasting injuries from the incident I went through, the damages weren't considered sufficient for legal action.
So, there is no accountability if they harm you. At all. Nobody gets in trouble, the Dr that hurt you is even shielded from having to talk to you.
Our Australian government at its most despicable.

A fake complaint office only exists to waste taxpayer money and pretends that there is a place to handle your complaints. Not only it helped the service provider that lost my child in the Perth Zoo and the corrupted government agency to make up stories and twisted the fact on what actually happened, but it also threatened me not to share the details and how it handled my complaint on social media.

Don't bother lodging a complaint. What a waste of an agency. There's a reason they have a 1.3 rating. This waste of space needs to be de funded immediately

Complete waste of time and an utter waste of taxpayer dollars. I raised a complaint about corruption in the medical industry and how the disclaimer on the psychologist's report basically said you cannot rely on the psychologists' statement in any meaningful capacity whatsoever and so my question was: so why did she write the statement at all and why is she still a registered practitioner if her statements cannot be relied upon? And HADSCO effectively told me this was "normal" and "acceptable" and that I should "seek legal advice". What a joke. In the face of an obviously corrupt medical practitioner, these people at HADSCO side with the corrupt practitioner, probably because HADSCO themselves are also a corrupt business in the same industry. Without corrupt practitioners, there would be no need to pay HADSCO any more money, so it is obviously in HADSCO's best business interests to permit this insane corruption to continue. Me: "Why is the practitioner still registered if their statements cannot be relied on?" HADSCO: "I cannot answer that".

I have just been reviewing some of the complaints made about this organisation. Lack of response seems to be a common theme here. I too am having a problem with getting a response to a complaint I made 13/08/2021. It is now 01/11/2021 and I have received no advice about what is happening regarding the complaint (no return emails or phone calls). The meeting I had with a Senior Case Manager on 13/10/2021 was pretty inconclusive, she said she would call me but has not to date done so . Have to give a star to post, not sure they even deserve one star at this point. Finally had a response after a review process 28/01/2022. I would concur with some of the other reviews a useless government department. Does not act on legitimate complains made to them. Is quiet happy to ignore points of legislation in favor of the hospital administration practices which are in clear breach of the legislation.

This is a waste of government money.
No matter the complaint they end up not coming to a resolution for the patient, doctors are protected cause there deemed as a professional and a patient is not, so they will believe the doctor over the patient.

It took months for my complaint to get to HaDSCO. I was given an apology and told they can set up a meeting, so i myself can battle it out with the pysciatrists? Shortly after to be sent a letter to say my case was closed. I tried ringing Roger Cooks Office. I was ignored several times. If WA will not act on complaints they receive, then nothing will ever change no matter how much money you put into Mental Health

Absolutely useless organization. Took 5 months for them to tell me they couldn't act further on my valid complaint. Eventually what I received was a letter containing apology after apology of how they messed up my case.
"We're so sorry (for contravention of Section 40 of the Health Complaints Act)",
"We're so sorry (for not adhering to our own Service Charter in multiple areas)",
"We're so sorry (for not acting appropriately on my Review)".
Their response to these stuff-ups was to inform staff to "maintain standards", in other words, naughty, naughty boys and girls. These people think that they are a protected species and can do whatever suits them at the time. Do nothing but shuffle paper around the office passing the buck to the departmental professional apologiser when they get caught out. The unfortunate thing is we as taxpayers are footing the bill for this sheltered workshop for suburban bogans.

Don't waste your time, effort or money. They are experts in 'cancel culture' or 'pass it on culture'. Should be shut down & money diverted to somewhere positive - eg counselling on health service failures.

I have just spent about six months going through their complaints process. It was a complete waste of time. This place has no powers. It cannot help you. There is no point to its existence. I cannot believe public money is wasted on this. It hurts people to put themselves through the process only to realise months later it was for nothing.

Lodged a complaint online on 14/4/2021, no follow-up and nothing happen (as at 19/5/2021). Apparently this is a department which does not much. Not impressed.
