Best pub I’ve been to in Australia.

Stopped to camp at the Pooncarie Multi Purpose Park, rode our bikes up to the pub to pay for our site and ended up staying for several drinks and dinner. What a great decision, the locals are friendly and the pizza was awesome. Highly recommend stopping here on your way through or if you are staying in the area.

Broke down just outside town, went to Pooncarie Hotel for help. There was no shortage of help from locals, excellent example of country hospitality. Super friendly and helpful people in Pooncarie.
Dan new Publican at Pooncarie Hotel Motel. Rooms Basic but comfortable. Nice food at the restaurant.
Excellent Coffee and Bacon and Egg Rolls in shop 50 meters up the road from the Pub, open from 7 am.
Big shout out to Brendan and Col great helpful local blokes from Pooncarie.

The Pooncarie Hotel was our closest pub whilst working a short time on a station. We were accepted into the community and made friend's for life all over a few beers at the Pooncarie.
Dan and Kait are awesome hosts in this true outback pub.

Fantastic, Josh is a great guy. He and his family run a great pub. One of the best outback pubs around. The accommodation is very clean and comfortable. Tell Josh the coffee man said to try one of his lemon squash specials!!!

Top notch customer service!! We were travelling to our booked accommodation at menindee, due to road closures we couldn't get there. Neither of our phones had service,the guys at the pub and general store were great help with sorting out contacting menindee and helping with accommodation. We ended up staying at the pub great clean rooms, fantastic meals! Highly recommend

What a great little oasis on a village with a population of just 42..!!! We checked in on Christmas day and Publican Josh had kept the place open for us unlocked. He was back to business on boxing day and his partner Lee cooked some great meals for us. That pepper gravy is the best I've tasted. He kept the pub open until the last one stepped out.
One of the best acco, pub and pub food in Outback NSW without a doubt, By the way, Pooncarie is the most beautiful place in Outback NSW as well.
Worth a visit to Pooncarie, and worth a stay with grub and beer at Telegraph Hotel / Motel.

There’s camping by the river virtually across the road from the pub $10 a night powered is extra please pay at the store , it has toilets and coin operated showers and bbqs, great spot to stay.

Nice quiet little country hotel service is good can get good information from there gets very busy when the pooncarie races and the rally championship are on plus other events too

Absolute ripper of a pub. An old flame of mine worked there and I drank her paycheck one night. She wasn't happy. I was in trouble. Bier sticks are 10/10!

Typical country pub in outback NSW. Cold beer just when you need it. Outside temp 41 deg. Heaven in a glass.

Fantastic generousity was shown by locals. The publican reached out to local farmers to replace my tire - they refused to take any money for my replacement tire and tested my flat tire. Plus, great value for money accomodation and good food.
