Michael’s Chemist Claremont

I previously left a positive 5 star review but I feel I need to change it because of poor advice from a pharmacist on my last visit. I have left this review at 5 stars because I usually receive good service there.

I am frustrated because I went and asked specifically for a Glycoprep KIT, even showing the pharmacist the letter from my doctor and was given a sachet of Glycoprep instead for $20 which I opened thinking it must contain the other 2 items I required. Of course, it didn't and I had to go back an purchase the actual kit for $40.

The lady at the counter on my second visit was really nice and tried to give me a discount on the kit but wasn't able to.

When you go to a pharmacy and show a piece of paper stating exactly what you need, you expect to be given enough the correct thing. I'll be back, but perhaps that staff member should stick to stocking shelves rather than dispensing medication etc.

Really friendly and helpful staff. Old school service. Since first coming Michael's I make the effort to come back here each time.

Staff have always gone out of their way to help me and provide helpful information about medications, for both myself and my children.

Dennis and his team at Michael's Chemist in Claremont are very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Dennis in particular is a stand-out Pharmacist. The products offered are wide-ranging and value for money. I highly recommend Michael's Chemist in Claremont.

Always helpful but recently Aaron even held off closing the shop at the end of the day to help us with our prescription. Thanks from T F

Beware prices advertised on web site are on-line only.Tried to purchase Cartia 168 tablets for $15.40 at Claremont store today , however advised by Pharmacist that price was $24.95 .

The $15.40 price was online only. It would take approx 3 days for online order to be available in store. Ie no click and collect service provided.

Apparently online stock comes from a remote warehouse. The Pharmasist had the required packet in their had but refused to sell at $15.40.

Amazing! Needless to say Michael’s Chemist Claremont has lost a customer.

I come once, probably would be the last. An asian who work there is been very rude to me. He made me very nervous after, I really wanted to slap him in the face!
