IH Log Cabin

This place is a must visit for us at least once a year if not twice. Kids enjoy the nature, morning walks with laughing kookaburras and other birds in the background, spotting kangaroos and sometimes reindeer and deer. Spectacular night sky with millions of stars so clear. And of course bonfire during winters outside the cabin.
Cabin itself is a very simple 2 room place with a huge lounge and a kitchen. If there wasn't anyone staying before you go, then be prepared to do some thorough cleaning as there are rat poos and bat poos everywhere. Take some disposable gloves, spray and wipe and cloth wipes for the job.
And at night, mind you, there is a bat that lives there too. It's been more than 18 years now that we visit this place so often and we always wait for the bat to fly around when we turn off the lights. First it used to be scary but not anymore.
The toilets are outside the cabin and their doors have been recently changed, thank God.
This place has the basic necessities and gives a message that we can live with less things.
